Street Justice Power Set Now Available

Break shins, and throw upper cuts and knee strikes to rule the streets with this new melee power set for melee archetypes. The new power set Street Justice is now available from the Paragon Market. It "delivers punishing bone crushing attacks that weaken, disable or otherwise hinder their foes," and allows multiple combinations for additional effects.

Street Justice is primary power set for Scrappers, Brutes, and Stalkers, and a secondary power set for Tankers. Cost is 800 points. See the official announcement here.

Praetorian Invasions

A series of Praetorian invasions are currently underway, finishing October 11 on the Infinity server. Each event last three hours, with one event per server that has not yet had the experience. Free to Play now available

On September 27, City of Heroes Freedom became accessible by free players, (as well as the existing VIP and Premium players) as explained in the official announcement.

Account Reactivation

Beginning the weekend of September 23, all inactive game accounts will be begin being reactivated as Premium level accounts! Read more details in the official announcement.

New Refer a Friend Program

A new version of the Refer a Friend Program will begin soon, where VIP players can refer new players or former players whose subscription has been inactive for at least 90 days. Complete details are found in the official announcement.

Circle of Thorns Costume Set

The much anticipated new Circle of Thorns Costume Set became available in the Paragon Market on September 27. "Disguise yourself in villainous style as a member of the occult group Circle of Thorns. For Male, Female, and Huge characters." Cost is 400 points.

Level Pacts Disabled

With the live server publish commenced 7:30AM US EDT on Tuesday, 20 September, the ability to create new levelling pacts has been disabled as previously announced here. According to that announcement, "new Level Pacts won't be available to anybody until we have been able to revisit the system at a later point."

Signature Story Arc

The first Signature Story Arc is now available to eligible players (free for VIP players, purchasable by Premium players). The first of seven, "Who will die" commences in Skyway City for Heroes, and Cap au Diable for Villains. Two contacts, Theoden and Alastor, become available. A pop-up announcing the contact will appear; and they show on the minimap when in those zones.

The arc tells the same story from different perspectives. The first arc is three missions long, runs as a Task Force/Strike Force, can be soloed by many players, and will Exemplar higher level players to level 20. They feature a stunning new map of the Hollows for the last mission.
