The Spring Fling 2011 has started!

The Valentine's Event for 2011 began today! It is available through March 6, 2011. Grab your loved one and jump in-game for cool V-Day related missions, and the potential to earn unlockable costume pieces, badges and temporary powers. Brave the Well of the Furies, find Aphrodite's Girdle, and take down that mischievous Red Cap, Snaptooth.

Issue 19: Strike Pack now live

Strike Pack, an update to Issue 19, is now live. The Strike Pack introduces the Weekly Strike Target and its accompanying badges, and the Rare and Very Rare tiers of the Incarnate System's Alpha Slot.

• Weekly Strike Target: Each week one Task Force and one Strike Force (or one Co-Op Task Force) will provide extra Reward Merits. For qualifying characters, bonus experience or a Notice of the Well (required to craft Rare and Very Rare Alpha Slot boosts) may also be awarded.
• New Badges: Three new hero badges and three new villain badges that reward playing the Weekly Strike target.
• New Alpha Slot Tiers: Access to the Rare and Very Rare Alpha Slot tiers, using the Notice of the Well component obtained from the Weekly Strike Target.

Seven Years of Super Rewards

City of Heroes is about to celebrate its 7th year of super-powered adventures, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support and loyalty of our players. So this year we’re offering a special bonus to our current customers. All City of Heroes players who maintain an active, uninterrupted account for the time period beginning February 1st, 2011 (12:01 a.m. EST / 5:01 a.m. GMT) and ending April 18th, 2011 (11:59 p.m. EST / 4:59 a.m. GMT) will receive a set of special rewards for their loyalty to Paragon City, the Rogue Isles, or Praetoria:

• Seven Stars, a new chest emblem that will remind everyone of your experience as a Hero or Villain.
• The Constant, a new badge and title that highlights your dedications and unswerving determination.
• /emote loyalty, a new emote that you can use to brag about your alignment in style.
• The Vanguard Pack, a new Booster Pack that unlocks many Vanguard costume pieces and features for all of your characters.
