Double XP and Re-activation Weekend Starting March 4th!

Get excited because one of your favorite times of the year is quickly approaching - Double XP Weekend! All the fun begins on March 4th!

What is a Double Experience Weekend? It's a three day stretch of time during which all participating Hero and Villain characters receive double the XP, Influence, and Infamy for their accomplishments in game. And if you pre-purchase Going Rogue, you'll be able to take advantage of all that Double XP has to offer while wielding the Dual Pistols power set!

But it doesn't end there. NCsoft is also having an Account Reactivation at the same time! This means that all inactive accounts in good standing will be re-activated free of charge and given access to City of Heroes and City of Villains® during Double XP weekend!

• Start: Thursday, March 4th at 8:59am Pacific Time (11:59am Eastern Time)
• End: Sunday, March 7th at 11:59pm Pacific (2:59am Eastern Time)

Spring Fling

The Valentine's Event for 2010 began today! It is available through March 2, 2010. Grab your loved one and jump in-game for cool V-Day related missions, and the potential to earn unlockable costume pieces, badges and temporary powers. Brave the Well of the Furies, find Aphrodite's Girdle, and take down that mischievous Red Cap, Snaptooth.

Issue 17 / Going Rogue

Issue 17 has been announced, titled Dark Mirror, with a current release date of April, 2010! Even better, Ultra Mode, previously slated for Going Rogue, has been completed early! That's right, in an article on MMORPG.com, Paragon Studios announced all kinds of goodies ready for release prior to Going Rogue!

Also, in that same article it was announced that pre-ordering Going Rogue will unlock Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning powersets before the official release! Additionally, the "Going Rogue Complete Edition" was announced, which is filled with exclusive goodies, like costume pieces, "stance" emotes, and "The Shadowy Presence" invisibility power. Beta will begin this Spring, with release currently slated for July.

Free Transfer Extension

Good news! Due to popular demand, free Character Server Transfers have been extended until February 28th (at 11:59pm PST / 2:59am EST / 11:59pm GMT)! Were you hurrying to get all your characters moved before the deadline? No problem, you've got an extra four weeks to get it all done!
