My Home(Guardian)'s Characters

The Guardian server is home to my "main" heroes. Almost all of my heroes on Guardian are tied together in some way to eachother. Thisis the story behind most of the connections.

Wendy O

Short Synopsis: Wendy O is the daughter of Il Fyr, a hero sent along with Omega Team. Il Fyr had two daughters, Wendy and Gwenadyne. After Omega Team went missing, Gwenadyne snapped and was committed, leaving Wendy alone to take care of everything left behind. Once she got things close to in order, she started to pick up where her mother left off; making the world a better place, one Skul at a time.

Short Synopsis: Gwynevieve is from an alternate Earth where the timeline is off by a few years. Gwyn is Wendy's daughter from that world. Wendy was part of the Rikti invasion on that world and died. Gwyn ended up never getting training for the magic that was in her blood, and resorted to crime. She joined the Hellions and helped catapult them to near the top of the villain group food chain. While raiding a Portal Corp. Building, she was thrown into a portal and came out in Wendy's world. Seeing her "mother" standing above her made her have a change of heart. Now she fights alongside her new "family" to make the world a better place, by blowing up bad guys.

Short Synopsis: Annon, a natural lycanthrope, was born in ancient Egypt. Thanks to a run-in with a malignant sorceror, this werewolverine was frozen in time until just recently. During the opening of the Paragon City Musuem of Natural History's Egyptian exhibit, he woke up in a sarcophagus with no clue about the world or the time. He is a warrior out of place doing the only thing he knows; destroying evil. (It's really a much longer story than this as he's based on a DnD NPC party member from an Egyptian campaign that I ran for about 2 years but this is the basics at least)

Short Synopsis: Not related to Wendy's story. Rebecca's parents were killed while away on business in America while she was back home in Scotland. She traveled to America in pursuit of her parents' killers. When she arrived, she met Alex Avalon (one of my friend's toons), who introduced her to the Fae. The Fae took pity on her for her loss, and granted her the resilience and strength to see to her revenge. Now she fights by the side of the Serpent Brothers, trying to right wrongs.

Short Synopsis: Wendy's twin sister, Gwen had a breakdown after she learned that her mother was lost along with Omega Team. She wound up destroying their childhood home, and nearly killing herself and Wendy. After that she was committed, where she killed a councelor and met Ana (aka Zerana). After that incident, she was transferred to the Zig... where she remained until Lord Recluse decided it would be fun to let her out with the jailbreak.

Evan Johnstone

Short Synopsis: Rebecca's cousin. Evan lived in Paragon City as a citizen until Becca showed up fighting crime. Evan wanted to help her, so he scrounged around until he was able to find some Crey technology. Using the various Gadgets and the PowerGloves that he found, he started his own career as a Hero (a Fire/Devices Blaster in his first incarnation). Evan wasn't exactly good at fighting crime though, he got his butt kicked a lot more than he kicked butt. After one such butt-kicking, a Kheldian found him and asked to join him to make him stronger. Evan happily agreed, and now he kicks a little more butt without getting his butt kicked quite so much.

Short Synopsis: Dulcet was attending the same school as Wendy and Gwen back before the Rikti invasion; the London Centre for Contemporary Music (I have to double check that, I think that's what I had). While studying one day in a church, she stumbled across an active Ley Line and was granted magical powers by the Fae who inhabited the area.

He spent his time in the Zig and was back home a few months into my senior year. I couldn't stand living in the same house as him anymore. I tried running away, but I always got caught. Eventually it got so bad that I tried to commit suicide, but instead of never waking up... I woke up in a Council lab, fused with a Nictus. That was my father's worst mistake... one he won't be repeating..."

Short Synopsis: Ana Krieger was volunteering at the Paragon Institute for Behavorial Health when Gwenadyne was committed after her breakdown. Ana's powers manifested in response to Gwen's attack of her and two guards after they came to check on the councelor assigned to her. Gwen had incinerated the councelor after he triggerred memories of her mother's fate. Ana was able to calm Gwen down, mainly by letting Gwyn wear herself out lobbing fireballs at her. From that day onward, Ana has sworn to use her powers to protect what is most valuable to the city, its Heroes.

Kaliska

In-game Bio: Previously a hero in Paragon City, Kaliska fought crime with her father's ancestral Miwok daggers. Those same daggers were stolen and used to gouge out her eyes after her run-in with the villain Bloody Knuckles. Kaliska lost everything that day; her vision, her dignity, and her last remaining connection to her father and her heritage. She spent months in the hospital, lamenting her situation; depression consumed her. While doing some blood-work to find an eye donor, an Arachnos spy discovered that Kaliska had a rare enzyme in her blood that would prevent finding a suitable donor but also meant that there was a possibility that she had some latent psychic ability. The next day, an Arachnos operative arrived incognito at the hospital and made Kaliska an offer. She would be trained to unlock her psychic gifts, allowing her to "see" again; the operative even offered Kaliska assistance in tracking down Bloody Knuckles so she could exact her revenge. All they asked was that she follow orders.
What I'd like to add to that since there's not enough room: Her mother died during childbirth and her father raised her by himself. Her father was also a hero and died during the first Rikti invasion. Bloody Knuckles is an evil sonuvabitch, he did things better not mentioned here. When Kaliska agreed to follow orders for the operative, she didn't know that it was Arachnos and Lord Recluse for whom she would be working. She now regrets her decision but is thankful for her training and continues to serve because she is a woman of her word because of how her father raised her.

Aragan Cabora
