Overview

Issue 8 introduced Veteran badges and equalized the badges with Safeguard missions for Heroes. For Heroes it added 15 Exploration badges, 6 Achievement badges, 1 Accomplishment badge, 1 Accolade badge and 12 Veteran badges. In total, 35 badges were introduced for Heroes upon the release of Issue 8. An additional 1 Exploration badge, 5 Achievement badges, and 2 Accolade badges were added later, for a grand total of 43 Hero badges during Issue 8.

For Villains, it added 2 Exploration badges and 12 Veteran badges. In total, 14 badges were introduced for Villains upon the release of Issue 8. An additional 1 Exploration badge, 8 Achievement badges, and 2 Accolade badges were added later, for a grand total of 24 Villain badges during Issue 8.

NOTE: Issue 13 introduced a massive resorting and reorganizing of the badge system. Consequently, many, if not most, of this issue's badges may no longer be in the categories in which they are listed below. Please refer to the individual badge category listings for current information.

Exploration Badges

Faultline

There were 4 Hero-only Exploration badges added to Faultline.

Pocket D

There was one Hero/Villain Exploration badge added to Pocket D.

Arena

There was one Hero/Villain Exploration badge added to the Arena.

Safeguard Missions

There were nine Hero-only Exploration badges added to Safeguard Missions.

Achievement Badges

There were six Hero-only Achievement badges added with Issue 8.

	Bomb Squad	Stop 10 bombings in Safeguard Missions
	Fire Marshal	Stop 10 arsons in Safeguard Missions
	Interceptor	Stop 10 weapon deals in Safeguard Missions
	PPD Deputy	Save 25 hostage PPD agents in Safeguard Missions
	Security Expert	Stop 10 vault break-ins in Safeguard Missions
	Villain Disruptor	Defeat 25 villains in either the main bank heist or the jailbreaks in Safeguard Missions

Accomplishment Badges

There was one Hero-only Accomplishment badge added with Issue 8.

Rescuer

Complete the Rescue Mr. Yin mission from Penelope Yin.

Accolade Badges

There was one Hero-only Accolade badge added with Issue 8.

Stouthearted

Earn the Cornerstone, Courage Driven, Freedom's Defender, Founders' Protector, Gatekeeper, Heart of the City, Honorable Captain, King's Righteousness andTalos' Might badges.

Veteran Badges

There were twelve Hero/Villain Veteran badges added with Issue 8.

Accolade Badges

There were two Hero/Villain Accolade badges added after Issue 8 was released.

	Partygoer	Complete DJ Zero's mission during the Valentine's Day Event 2007
	Merrymaker	Log in during the month of May, 2007
