Welcome!
Hello, Blondeshell, and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of Userboxes you can easily add there. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the Forum. It will require a separate registration (login and password), but most users use the same username in both places. There's even a RSS Feed, if you're into that.
Also, make sure you take a look at the Help page. There is a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info, and what you want to add might already be there.
Again, welcome! -- Agge (talk) 04:55, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
You've been busy! Wondered if you were still in the game. ~El Penumbra 19:21, May 16, 2012
Day Job Badge Moves
Just wondering if you were still planning on moving the rest of the Day Job badge articles. The {{DayJobBadge}} used in all of the links to each of the badges is a bit borked with half of the badges using "X Day Job Badge" and the other half using "X Badge" at the moment. --Eabrace 08:21, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I do plan to finish them, but I ran across the Intern badge that had already been redirected from "Intern Badge" to "Intern Day Job Badge." I was stumped about how to get around the redirect to make it go back to the original page, so I stopped working on it for the night. Any suggestions for how to get rid of the original redirect? I'm still a newb. :-) --Blondeshell 20:16, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Ah. Gotcha. Well, there are two ways that can be done.
- Copy the content from Intern Day Job Badge to Intern Badge and change the Intern Day Job Badge to a redirect. (You can get back to the redirecting page by clicking the link where it says "Redirected from <pagename>" at the top.)
- Ask for an admin to delete the Intern Badge article so you can then move the Intern Day Job Badge to that location. Any time you have something you'd like to suggest for deletion, you can tag it with the {{delete}} template.
- I'll go ahead and take care of the Intern Badge for you since I'm already looking at it. :) --Eabrace 20:52, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- The last thing I have to do for the Day Job Badges is updated the main page for them that lists all the day jobs and accolades. However, I'm not clear on how to modify the DayJobBadge template to where it doesn't automatically put in the "Day Job" phrase. It'd be easier to just update that template instead of changing each entry by hand to say [[Intern Badge|Intern]], but I don't know enough to comfortably do it without messing it up.--Blondeshell 03:08, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Ah. Gotcha. Well, there are two ways that can be done.
Caitlin Murray Deletion Request
Just checking: Were you requesting deletion of the page because it left a redirect behind when you moved it? In this particular case it may not be a bad idea to leave the redirect in place. I just wanted to check before taking the delete request off the redirect. --Eabrace 00:40, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thinking back on it now, I'd agree that it'd be okay to leave the redirect alone. There'd probably be some people who weren't aware of the change and would still be referencing the old name. --Blondeshell 02:34, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- OK. I went ahead and removed the delete tag. --Eabrace 05:06, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Kings Row Contacts
Thanks for updating the coordinates and neighborhoods for Linda Summers and Paula Dempsey. I kept meaning to check on that after hearing that they were moved. - Snorii 22:02, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Ashley McKnight
She doesn't introduce Golden Roller or Marshal Brass; she sends you to talk to those, as wella s Peter, the Dr and Virgil for the history missions — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebog1 (talk • contribs) 06:18, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, she does. I just did the Origin of Power arc and she offered both contacts to me separate from the missions. -- Blondeshell 06:21, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Hmm. Highly unlikely/usual. I've done every contact, to completion, up to Lvl. 30 - including her - on my VEAT and on a Lvl. 50 MM. Both times, Dmitri and Dr. Whatsherface introduced Brass & Roller. Did you complete dmitri and drshelly? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebog1 (talk • contribs) 06:36, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- The character that she offered those contacts to was level 19 and had not been previously introduced to Dmitri Krylov or Dr. Shelly Percey. Here is the list of contacts that character has received and the current level of acquaintance:
- Kalinda: Kindred (complete)
- Mongoose: Kindred (complete)
- Angelo Vendetti: Kindred (complete)
- The Radio: Kindred (complete)
- Seer Marino: Crony (on first mission)
- Ashley McKnight: Kindred (complete until level 30)
- Willy Wheeler: Associate (just been introduced)
- Golden Roller: Associate (just been introduced)
- I don't remember who gave me The Radio and Willy wheeler, but it definitely wasn't Mr. Bocor or Peter Themari since I was never introduced to them.-- Blondeshell 13:49, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Hmm. Radio, I think >might< be intro'ed by Angelo/Billy as well at Lvl 10, though I don't think so 'cause I remember a char of mine not completing Bocor by leveling to 10 too fast and not getting the radio; Willy... hmm.. Couldn't tell you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebog1 (talk • contribs) 14:35, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- Just to add to the original discussion, I'm currently running through Ashley's Origin of Power arc and she just offered to introduce me to Golden Roller and Willy Wheeler. --Eabrace 22:16, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks from user:MacAllister It was formatted correctly in firefox but was having issue with Internet Explorer when i gave up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MacAllister (talk • contribs) 23:54, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Ack!
^^;; wow, you really startled me with your edits to my little project page. I thought I was way to sleep deprived there for a minute. o,o not that I'm complaining about the info, just wasn't expecting it to suddenly be there. (that and the double edit on the council one was there then wasn't.. thought firefox was going nuts) --Sleepykitty 03:49, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Hazard Zones
I've left it in place to avoid starting a revision war but I really don't think that the Hazard Zone article should have an I16 tag since the page represents the state of Hazard Zones as they are in game at the moment. A "this will change in I16" tag would be more appropriate. CmdrAdeon 22:13, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- I moved the flag and added a tiny blurb on why the flag is there. There is only one Issue flag in use to keep things contained more centrally. AGGE talk/cons 05:47, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- That works well, thanks. CmdrAdeon 06:46, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Good Catch
Good catch on that spam reversion. I usually check new user contributions before leaving them a welcome note, but my brain was fried after work yesterday and I missed that little detail. Thanks. --Eabrace 20:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
I17 Badge Images
Thanks for uploading those. I'm having a hard time going through the new images and figuring out what not to upload. :) --Eabrace 00:55, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- No problem. I'll also be adding Ultra Mode versions of the pics for exploration badges and history plaques. It's taking a while to get all of them, though, because I'm trying to match up the positioning of the previous pics and not make the shadows cause problems. --Blondeshell 00:58, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Settitle
I notice you created Settitle (Slash Command)/listing. You might want to review the discussion at Talk:Settitle (Slash Command), since the last time it was poked for possible updating (over a year ago) we decided to just not update it and instead we linked to the websites that already maintain these lists better than the wiki does (the outdated talk page at that same location was meant to be illustrative, not an actual article; I've replaced it with a redirect to avoid confusion on that). The problem with this list is that it is regularly outdated, and unlike most things that get outdated on a regular basis, once this particular information is outdated it more or less becomes completely useless since most of the numbers change. If you'd like to see it included in the wiki, I recommend prodding that discussion and seeking for a consensus that it even should be included before you do too much more work on it. -- Sekoia 11:55, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
CCG Cards
Any reason why the last three cards you uploaded directly into the deletion category? ~ AGGE talk/cons 00:03, 1 June 2010 (UTC) --- Also, let me know when you're ready for me to delete the CCG card articles, wasn't sure if you needed them for reference so I hadn't deleted them yet. ~ AGGE talk/cons
- Those cards are just for referencing the forum post I made here. Once we're done with the discussion, they can be deleted. The other CCG content that's tagged for deletion can go ahead and be removed now. -- Blondeshell 01:13, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
Thermal Radiation Tables
I know they look very similar, but note the difference in the names of the level 2 power Corruptors and Masterminds get the name of the level 2 power Controllers get. Veeery easy little detail to miss since the powers are essentially the same, but one is "Fire Sheild" while the other is "Thermal Sheild". --Eabrace 05:00, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, so they are. Sneaky little power names. -- Blondeshell 05:03, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Nonexistent Badges
Hold up a sec with those badge articles you're making.
You're even re-adding some articles that existed once before and were deleted because they weren't applicable (Aspect of Yin, for example). Some of the information is incorrect as well (Recluse's Right Hand was spotted on a dev in Pocket D not long ago, so it very much does exist). But really, there's an inherent problem with writing articles that state "This doesn't exist and there is no such thing" like you're doing.
It'd be no different for me to start an article on the Chuck Norris badge, or the Texas Ranger archetype, or the Beard Mastery powerset, because each equally doesn't exist. Site sources at the very least if something does merit an article, but for now the articles are just trash (some of which has been taken out and came back).
--GuyPerfect 17:57, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- I realize that, on the surface, this seems like I'd be opening up a huge can of worms, but my intent here was to limit my work to articles on badges that were much further along in the development process than the rest. This extends only to those that had specific artwork created and were abandoned before being included in the game, and not ones like the second Task Force Commander or Beta Tester entries. I'm not going to go hog wild and make entries for everything that's undefined on the settitle list. (Really? Costume unlock tokens and character introductions?)
- And, to be honest, there's already a precedent set for non-existant badge articles, such as Super Patriot Badge, Iron Man Badge and April's Fool Badge -- all of which were added by yourself.
- --Blondeshell 23:24, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Super Patriot and Iron Man were created because there are powers in the game that were going to be tied to them. April's Fool is literally a joke badge that has been used by the devs as a sort of running gag. You'll notice that all three of these articles have some substance other than "this is only a pipe dream."
- Like I mentioned before, many not-a-real-badge articles were deleted after Issue 18's release because there were never such badges to begin with. Maybe if a dev mentions such-n-such a badge or some kind of source is available to be cited, it'd be fine to add them back, but as it is they're reappearing and there still are no such badges. I don't want to try to assert authority, but what you're doing is inappropriate.
- --GuyPerfect 00:20, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- I guess I don't see how the fact that there were powers that were defined in the system but never implemented are any more valid to have articles than badges defined in the system but never implemented (I'm thinking of Issue 6 badges). They're both subject to a certain amount of supposition (un-cited sources) and neither are able to actually be earned by anyone in the game.
- I think the badge articles I added make for an interesting historical context that's not completely fabricated, especially when there's artwork created that would otherwise be unlinked and unviewable without digging through category listings.
- --Blondeshell 02:26, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- The wholly objective compromise, then, is to remove the articles on grounds of "they don't exist." This applies to Super Patriot and Iron Man along with all the non-badges you've recently added... except for Recluse's Right Hand, which someone snagged a picture of on a dev in Pocket D recently. --GuyPerfect 18:48, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
Except for April's Fool (because it is well-known throughout the badging community and has been acknowledged by rednames more than once) and maybe Recluse's Right Hand (for the previously stated reason), I don't think anything that is available only through diving in the piggs should be documented in the wiki. This goes along with previous precedent not to add or update articles until it's available in an open beta. These badges/powers/whatever are not visible on any server. ~ AGGE talk/cons 20:34, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- Well, let's do that, then: No actual articles for things that aren't visible or attainable in the game. That being said, I do think it's interesting to include sections on each issue's badge page that shows badges that would have been added but remained inactive, with the sole provision that there is artwork to back them up. This was already previously included on the Issue 4 and Issue 6 badge pages without any outcry. I'd argue against Recluse's Right Hand, though, as it's still not attainable in-game. -- Blondeshell 02:30, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
My Bad
Didn't mean to insert those plaque images on top of you. I thought I was uploading them to my own private wiki in preparation for the history article. D-: --GuyPerfect 22:05, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- No worries. I'll just re-upload them with pretty versions. ;-) --Blondeshell 22:07, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- They're pretty enough, thank you very much. )-:< --GuyPerfect 22:10, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- Lol, well, then I'll at least make them consistent with the style of the rest of the badge/plaque pics. How's that? XD --Blondeshell 22:13, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- They're pretty enough, thank you very much. )-:< --GuyPerfect 22:10, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
Accolade Badge Links
Sorry about that,I thought that was an error/oversight. I understand the need for a link to the exact location and screenshot, but there are already two links in the very same line of text that link to the screenshot and location. A third seems very redundant. It is also a bit counter-intuitive, and as you say, the goal is to make it obvious, if the link to a badge location shows as a zone name. People might very reasonably expect a link called "Zone X" to take them to the page titled, "Zone X," especially if they know a page of that name exists. Perhaps if a third link to the location is needed, it might be most obvious if it can be linked in the coordinates themselves. I admit, I'm not sure how to do this though, but that might fit all the goals, if it is possible. --Madadh 15:08, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
Forum PM
Hey Blondeshell! I sent you a PM on our forums last week but hadn't heard back from you. I just wanted to make sure you'd received it since they're sometimes easy to miss. If you'd rather follow up via email, my email is sekoia@cohtitan.com. Thanks! -- Sekoia 19:45, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
Dark Astoria
I know a way to get the fog out of the old Dark Astoria map if you want to take some clear pictures. --GuyPerfect 02:12, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- It might be interesting for curiosity's sake, but I think I'd still lean toward having the official pics be as they actually are in-game. Send me a PM with instructions, if you like. -- Blondeshell 02:15, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Badge Locations
I guess I will just leave these to you from here on out. You went through and replaced all of the ones I did (when I corrected some irregularities in sizing)... and it ended up as a wasted morning. A comment about it on my user page woulda been great —Thirty7 04:05, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
The Magician Missions
hey man was reading the posts your putting for the Magician contact, by the way nice small contact images of shadowhunter and pendragon, and saw that the leader of the black knights enemy group is called the Black Queen, is she Lady Gray's praetorian counterpart? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lichlord08 (talk • contribs) 17:11, 21 May 2012
- I don't want to give away any spoilers if you haven't read all of the missions yet, but I'm pretty sure The Black Queen isn't the Praetorian counterpart to any Primal Earth characters. — talk / contribs 04:33, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Powerset Page Standardization
I noticed you've been working on standardizing powerset pages. I recently started trying to standardize how they document pet powers, and in doing so have come across a more general powerset question: The use of Smash vs. Smashing and +/-Speed vs. +/-SPD in power tables seems pretty random, is there a preferred notation for either of these? -Draeth Darkstar 20:40, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- I actually haven't looked at the abbreviations used to describe the effects of the powers, but rather just with the overall format of the article itself. I would assume that the abbreviations were copied from the in-game notations at the time that they were done, but some of the older ones could have changed and no one noticed. — talk / contribs 21:24, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- That actually is a very good question, Draeth... and one to which I don't think there is a nailed down answer. In terms of readibility and ease of use, I would avoid abbreviating a lot of things... so -Speed, -Rech and -Dmg might be okay. I think a discussion should be started for this somewhere... like here? I think it is worth getting a firm consensus on this before we make any sweeping changes... to a standard I just might not know about. — Talk · Cont 22:04, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
- The information in the power tables comes out of the game like that. I maintain software that generates these articles from the game files, and they occasionally display incorrect or inconsistent abbreviations for things. --GuyPerfect 23:34, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Emotes
Nice work adding a ton of standardized GW emotes! I can't help but wonder, though, if some or all will be done with Mantid as well. I ask because I randomly clicked the push up emote (http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/File:Ghost_Widow_Emote_PushUp.gif) and her cape is doing all sorts of funny things in that gif. Her hair is also acting oddly, in that emote and others. Mantid doesn't have hair or a cape to interfere with the viewing of animations. Assuming doing all the emotes with Mantid is something that is desired, how would one go about doing it? Also, I personally prefer the background with the clouds, rather than the plain blue, but that's just me. Felderburg 20:00, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- I've also thought that it would be nice to use a character without a cape to avoid obscuring the emote, or weird jumps caused by the wind when the frames loop around. Unfortunately, I don't have the costume file for Mantid and everything else was already standardized using Ghost Widow four years ago. Since I was coming at this project without ever having captured demo recordings before, I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.
- The solid background is actually the same as the one that has clouds, but the camera position and cropping boundaries tend to eliminate them from the final product. I noticed that the older emotes were centered on the character with a consistent overall size, but they also tend to be hard to see what's happening because the character's a bit smaller. Cropping close to the extent of the character's movement range makes them more visible, but at the sacrifice of size consistency. I think the GIFs with clouds are actually the anomalies, but I'm not currently feeling the urge to go back and change all of them, too. — talk / contribs 20:55, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Proposing a page on past capabilities for Inspiration combining
Hi blonde shell, I was hoping you one of the most knowledgeable people on CoX history could shed some light on a feature from the past before CoH freedom.
Since freedom I and several others noticed that Inspirations could no longer be merged to +1 tier in the same type. 3 "luck" for 1 "good luck" in example. there is no record that the feature ever existed, but prior to freedom it was commonly used by people I knew and myself. Concerning now-a-days I am proposing the feature be brought back but am having a twilight zone moment where everyone insists this feature never existed. Am I from a parallel universe or something? was my client somehow broken and different from everyone else's.
Please can you clarify this for me? I have tried looking for evidence, but because video podcasts of games were not popular and recording quality was terrible back then, I was unable to find a video showcasing it or any documents on the subject. I would appreciate your help. thankyou sincerely, additionally if we can uncover anything about it I'd like at least a page mentioning it. Joshex Joshex (talk) 23:51, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
- I don't think I have a specific memory of being able to upgrade inspirations that way. I haven't checked yet, but if it might be mentioned in old revisions of the Inspiration article. Otherwise, you'd probably have to search previous patch notes where that function would've been removed. — talk / contribs 22:50, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- Y'know, I have a vague memory of being able to do this too. But an edit in 2006 (https://paragonwiki.com/w/index.php?title=Inspirations&oldid=21951) says the only way to get tier 2 and 3 inspirations is through drops. A player guide from 2011 only mentions combining three into a different type: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/How_To_Get_Stuff. It looks like these patch notes in 2008 are where the functionality was added: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Patch_Notes/2008-05-20#Inspiration_Improvements and it only mentions the current 3>new type, not any changes from 3>bigger type.
