Mender Ramiel's article
Hi, could you check Mender Ramiel's article and see what is causing the weird graphical error? A week or two ago, the page was working fine, and now there seems to be a problem with Trapdoor's dialogue (the clue boxes maybe?) which is messing up the coding... but before, it worked, so I'm not sure what's going on with it. Checking the history, even the earlier versions are affected. o_O Sera404 05:24, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

- Laptop is running Windows XP with firefox, PC is running Windows 7 with firefox and Explorer, both seem to have the same problem at this part of Mender Ramiel's article, where the text flows off the 'white page' into the blue background. If you need to, shall I screenshot it for you? Sera404 06:43, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
- Screenshotted. Same thing happens on both my PC and laptop, so I don't think it's an isolated incident? Sera404 06:54, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
account merge
Would you please merge Bayblast into BayBlast.
I thought I had this done before though or did I reactivate the old account by logging in with the lowercase spelling?

Delete image
Would you delete [File:Screenshot 110205-22-57-58.jpg], along with its previous versions, when you get a chance? Thanks. Navy Spider 20:28, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, again. Navy Spider 11:36, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks!
Thanks for the welcome, Eabrace! Just trying to help out and, with luck, not break anything too badly.... =)

Bulk Upload
I have a bunch of images to upload for the Halloween bundle, and I was certain we had a bulk upload page that you've used before, but I can't find mention of it anywhere on the forums or in talk histories. Halp! ~ AGGE talk/cons 20:35, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
- We did have one, but it broke with the most recent version of MediaWiki. That being said, however, Sekoia and Guy have a method for bulk uploading that I haven't played with yet. --Eabrace 21:18, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
A Couple Questions
A few weeks ago I posted the following on Talk:Damage Scale:
- "Is there any particular reason this exists as it's own distinct article? It seems to me that it would be more reader-friendly to have one comprehensive article dealing with the basics of damage in the game. This article could be folded into Damage, which could also have a section transcluding Limits#Damage. This would give most/all the pertinent information regarding damage on one logically named page."
It appears that page goes so unchecked that no one with an opinion on the comment noticed it, which is unsurprising since it's only even seen an edit once in the last two years. Thus, I would like ask, what is your opinion on the idea?
Also, did anything conclusive ever come of the discussion on Theoden?
Thanks,

- I can't speak for anyone else, but I did read your question when it was written. I just didn't think I had a good answer to offer.
- I don't know that I can think of a specific reason that the Damage Scale information couldn't be folded into the Damage article. I wouldn't oppose moving the information, but don't see anything inherently wrong with it being standalone for anyone searching specifically for information on Damage Scale. If we do end up moving the information, we should fold it into the Damage article as a new section and redirect from Damage Scale to that new section.
- The page hasn't been edited in the last couple of years because the information hasn't changed. (At least, I'm pretty sure the scales are still the same.) No need to change the article it if the information hasn't changed and the article is easily understood.
- Regarding Theoden, the consensus of the discussion in the forum thread seems to be that we should use the Task Force format for the individual Who Will Die arcs. Having a single Who Will Die page to summarize the arcs works well because the sub-arc each contact offers is named differently than "Who Will Die: Part X", which would make it harder to identify that the arcs are tied together. --Eabrace 18:15, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- My specific reasoning for thinking it would be better to have the Damage Scale information on the Damage page is that it's somewhat of a unique concept to CoH and with the many new players coming to the game now, they probably won't even know what to look for to find out how to compare the Archetypes mechanical ability to deal damage (which is also why I think we should include a DPL section for Limits#Damage). I do definitely think that redirecting Damage Scale to the section would be wise if the articles do get merged, for the more experienced players who know the term. Draeth Darkstar 18:37, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'll have to take you at your word regarding the the uniqueness of the Damage Scale. (CoH is my first and primary exposure to MMOs and I've played only one other MMO in the last 7 years.) The numeric table in the Damage Scale article was created primarily to fulfill that need to compare AT damage output capabilities side-by-side. I'm not really sure a DPL section for Damage Limits would be more (or less) useful than a link under "See Also" at the end of the Damage article, though. --Eabrace 19:00, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- In thinking of how best to make this article as informative and user-friendly as possible, I came up with a new question: Do you know if the tables and equations listed in the Power Data Standardization v2.0 guide exist somewhere on the wiki (with or without current data)? Nowhere on the wiki can I actually find the actual formula used to calculate a power's damage, which seems like something that we should have documented here. Draeth Darkstar 05:05, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'll have to wait until I'm somewhere that I can view that link to let you know. (Blocked at work.) --Eabrace 13:50, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
Uncategorized
Thanks for the assist on the categorizations of images. :) (Too bad I forgot to mark them as Minor). --Thirty7 15:26, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
- You're welcome. And don't worry about the "minor" mark. I usually sweep for uncategorized files now and again, but apparently I've been forgetting to do that for a while. So thank you for reminding me. :) --Eabrace 15:28, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
Templates --> Missionspace
So... after seeing your comment on my Talk page, I decided to go through and start moving a few of the Templates into the missionspace. Man! What a job that is. It's like this angry tangled root system! I thought I would start at a single contact, and work on those missions, and make that all nice and neat, well, that led me to other contacts, and more missions they didn't share, and then of course those lead me to other contacts!! It's truly obnoxious mostly thankless work, to be sure. Do you have a system that works well? Wouldn't mind assisting since I obviously noticed the need for the change too. :) —Thirty7 09:17, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
