Armadura del Sol
(Andrea Mitchell or Cain Royce's mission, Recover the armor from the Circle)
This ancient conquistador's armor is said to contain the power of the sun itself. Though its magic has long since faded, it was once rumored to give its wearer the power to destroy an army.
Blood Ruby
(Newspaper mission, (VillainGroup) rob jewelry shop)
This gem is said to give its possessor a horrible curse. It's red and it's a ruby and it makes you feel weak when you hold it.
Crown of Enos
(Newspaper mission, Crown of Enos Taken From Aeon Museum of Antiquities!)
The old crown hums with arcane energy. You put it on your head and...nothing.
Dagger of Erishkigel
(Newspaper mission, Dagger of Erishkigel stolen!)
Erishkigel was the god of the underworld in ancient Sumeria. There has long been talk that anyone slain by the dagger cannot be resurrected. The blade feels heavy in your hand. Visions of demons and ancient ziggurats dance in your mind. You feel a dark and malevolent presence creeping into your mind. You put the dagger to your own throat and --WHOA! Perhaps this relic is too powerful for you just yet.
Event Horizon
(Newspaper mission, Event Horizon said to foretell future!)
The Event Horizon is a rare jewel that predicts major events. On its own, it's not particularly useful. It's really valuable to Arachnos, though, because it can confirm any visions made by their Fortunatas. Some spider-queen dreams Statesman is coming for Recluse, for example, and the gem pulses red.
It's an odd crystal with a thin violet line running through the middle. You have no idea how to read it, but there's a large "spike", like on a heart monitor, a few milimeters to the right. Does that mean some major event is coming soon?
Idol of Lughebu
(Andrea Mitchell's mission, Find Suzanne Trent)
Main Article: Idol of Lughebu
This idol of the Banished Pantheon god Lughebu gives its user the ability to drain the life from nearby foes.
Journal of Padre Henri
(Mr. Bocor's story arc, The Book and the Burning)
This old handwritten book is the personal journal of Padre Henri, a jesuit priest who came to the Rogue Isles hundreds of years ago. There are lots of notes about the land and people he met there, and then the entries start to become strange, talking about a great battle on the mountain and sealing a demon away. One thing that sticks out to you is that the first few entries start right after Padre Henri left Egypt after getting some clue about the island from a mysterious source there.
In addition to being a valuable historical resource, the book is also enchanted. It makes the possessor more... pliable to those who know the right kinds of magics.
Loa Bone
(Mr. Bocor's mission, Retrieve the Loa Bone)
Main Article: Loa Bone
A necromantic wand with the power to summon undead minions.
Looking Lens
(Antonio Nash's mission, Retrieve Crate 878-932)
This very powerful item allows you to see the very desires of the people around you. Azuria believes that no one should ever use it.
Mandrake Root
(Newspaper mission, For Sale: Rare Mandrake Roots)
It's said this man-shaped root screams when torn from the earth.
Maria's Tears
(Newspaper mission, (VillainGroup) steal Maria's Tears)
Maria's Tears are a relic of the Children of Enos, the cult that founded the isles in the 1600. Though few know their history, it's likely they possess at least some minor enchantments. The story goes that a girl named Maria was the last of the Children of Enos taken from the islands by the French. Supposedly, her tears fell to the ground in Cap au Diable and turned to diamonds. If that was true you'd be making a lot more little girls cry.
Nictus Fragment
(Shadowstar's story arc, Shadow Science)
This crate is filled with clear glass tubes, capped with energy generators. Inside each tube a shadowy sphere hangs suspended in some kind of fluid. The sphere seems to bend light around it, and occasionally snakes out an inky tendril that touches the glass with increased hungered ferocity the closer your hand comes.
Each tube is labeled "N-Fragment", along with a number, the name of the Nictus it was made from.
Sea Lute
(Rogue Isle Protector mission, Sea Creatures Attack Ships Off Rogue Isles)
This rare artifact gives the user control over certain sea creatures if you know how to play it. The Sea Lute is an actual instrument, though it looks as if it were carved from coral. You play it, but hear only low, mournful sounds--like that of dying whales. The music gives you a creepy feeling. Like you just stepped in dead fish.
Soul Crystal
(Allison King's story arc, The Library of Souls)
(Shadowstar's story arc, An Absence of Shadows)
These Circle of Thorns crystals are receptacles, crystalline cages for the souls of those who have been cast from their bodies by the Circle of Thorns.
Spirit Thorn
(Allison King's story arc, The Library of Souls)
(Shadowstar's story arc, An Absence of Shadows)
These large, barbed thorns look like they were cut from some giant demonic rose. Each is wrapped in silk and covered in strange magical writing, and feels warm to the touch.
When a mage plunges a spirit thorn into his heart, it opens a gateway into his very soul that the Circle can exploit. Through it they can posses the thorn bearer, overriding his will, supplanting and imprisoning his very soul.
Talisman of Cho Pao
(Anton Sampson's mission, Check out the cave Nemesis mentioned)
This necklace appears to be nothing more than an ancient Chinese coin hung on a strand of dirty twine. However, Azuria informed you that it is actually the Talisman of Cho Pao, a powerful Chinese sorcerer from the Shang dynasty. Its restorative powers may be enough to help Nemesis recover his human body. Nemesis was the one who tipped you off to the coin's location, and you have no doubt he is watching your every move.
Talisman of Doom
(Newspaper mission, Harbinger of Doom foretold!)
It's a statue of Tisiphone, one of the ancient Furies of the Greek legends. The legends say they were placed on Earth to torment evil-doers. Maybe there was something to the Fortunata's vision, after all. But what could it mean? You phone this one in and let Arachnos come get it. Best not to touch something like this.
Thorn Blade
(Cadao Kestrel's story arc, Steal the Envoy's gifts to the Circle of Thorns)
The Circle of Thorns received these magic blades as a reward for an ancient dark bargain. Supposedly, they are demon-swords that turned men into blood-frenzied monsters. They contain a pulsing aura of angry menace.
Ushabti
(Azuira's mission, Take on the Hellions and show them they aren't welcome)
This small clay statue of a man is chipped in a dozen places. It looks as though it could easily be thousands of years old. Such statues were buried with the Egyptian dead; it was believed that they would perform their master's work in the afterlife. The Egyptians were no strangers to magic, and some ushabtis are invested with great power.
Warding Altar of Trefalgar
(Flux's mission, Take Out Frostfire)
Main Article: Warding Altar
The most powerful artifact the Outcasts have collected. It protects Frostfire's inner sanctum.
Wheel of Destruction
(Andrea Mitchell or Cain Royce's story arc, The Wheel of Destruction)
A stone wheel engraved with the image of Kali, the Black Madness. The wheel comes apart into several pieces that, when magically empowered in a ritual, allow the casting of powerful destructive spells.
