Table
I did a lot of cleanup on the table tonight. It was a little messy and confusing as it was and had numerous missing cells and errors. I also color-coded it much like the tables on Emotes are done, but I am not so good with Wiki markup and don't know how to define special tables like it's done there ("emote header", etc), so I did it cell-by-cell with basic wiki-supported HTML. The colors don't quite match the Emotes tables, I'm not sure if that's important or not. Anyway, if someone wants to re-redo it to be more consistent, by all means. I do think it's significantly more readable as-is than it was before, though. Draeth Darkstar 09:21, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Is it possible to choose two colours which aren't so bright? My eyes, they burn! XD Sera404 11:34, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- The soft pastel colors used in other such areas are not Named HTML Colors, and since the tables in most every other area of the wiki are templates pulled from somewhere that I do not know how to find, I can't see how they're done to replicate the method. If you want to change the color entries to a different HTML color, feel free, though it's pretty much either super bright or really dark, they're all bold picks.
- I'm not sure if Wiki markup will allow Hex code colors or not. Otherwise, if you can tell me how to find the templates for the table in Emotes or some other, similarly formatted part of the wiki, I will try to duplicate the behavior used there and make a Powers table. Draeth Darkstar 05:56, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- When you know the name of a template you're looking for, you can find it by adding "Template:" to the beginning of it. For example, to go to the Emote template, you would go to Template: Emote. You can also find templates quickly by visiting a page you know uses a particular template, clicking "edit" (or "view source" if you aren't logged in), and scrolling to the bottom of the page. There you will find a list of all the templates that are used by the page (either directly or by reference from one of the templates called on the page.) You can view any of those templates simply by clicking on the link in the template name.
- Regarding color codes, wiki markup does allow use of hex codes. --Eabrace 06:11, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- Is there anything you don't know Eabrace? I'm going to try to decipher and reproduce a table for this page using that info. Thanks! Draeth Darkstar 02:51, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Update: Finished! Palette table should be much easier to use now, and also easier on the eyes. The colors and basis for the template were pulled from Template:Emote so it should be consistent-looking too. Also re-added the by-archetype information in table form using my new found understanding for how wiki tables work. Draeth Darkstar 06:21, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Almost everything I know about wiki code I've learned by copying from other people. :) The table's looking pretty good. Definitely a more subtle color palette. --Eabrace 14:21, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
- Much easier on the eyes. Thanks Catwhoorg 11:48, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
Categories
Re: Aggelakis edit: Looking the categories over, I'm thinking Gameplay and/or Costumes may be the most appropriate to add, since that's where Weapon Customization is? I actually put Definitions on it because that's what Powerset Proliferation has and it seemed logical by that example. Draeth Darkstar 21:27, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Issue 16
Since the announcement of Issue 16 has confirmed Power Customization, I cleaned up the overview of this article. I will be adding another section with more details shortly. THe Developer Quotes section could probably stand for some more recent material too, but I won't be touching that, other than to mark the existing quotes as outdated information. Draeth Darkstar 12:23, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- Update: Actually going to move all the old quotes and the link to the (now outdated) Power Customization FAQ to a new Historical Information section.
- Update 2: Customizable Powers section completed. Checked over it myself a few times, please let me know of and/or correct any errors you find. Draeth Darkstar 14:05, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Does anyone else feel that sets that have weapon customization should be added into the list and noted as such similar to MA and SS? Bluebeetle27 19:38, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- Considering that Weapon Customization works a bit differently, since it's changing the shape rather than the color of the FX or the animation, and how extensive the Weapon Customization article we already have is with all the powersets and pictures included, I'm not sure that trying to merge them would be wise just because of how much information we're talking about trying to organize clearly on one page. I think this article will grow quite a bit already since there will probably be cause for a series of galleries like the Weapon Customization's once we have access to take pictures of it. I do definitely agree that these articles should be associated in some meaningful manner though. Draeth Darkstar 21:22, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- Customization category, along with a "See Also" section? Sera404 21:26, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Article Creation
Great Idea Catwhoorg 16:30, 5 September 2007 (EDT)
- Since the release of Issue 11, we've seen some limited ability to customize powers, mostly benefiting Scrappers (Stalkers) and Tankers (Brutes) with regards to the appearence of the weapon that they carry and the color of the weapon. I have to wonder if this is a precursor to things to come. Personally, I'd like to see pet customization for Masterminds as well. Blue Orchid 18:32, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
