Even though I know you're not a new user, I feel like I have to do this. Red user "Talk" links just scream out to me.  :)

Welcome!

Hello, Tidbit Jr., and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of Userboxes you can easily add there. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.

If you need help, ask me on my talk page or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the Forum. It will require a separate registration (login and password), but most users use the same username in both places. There's even a RSS Feed, if you're into that.

Also, make sure you take a look at the Help page. There is a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info, and what you want to add might already be there.

Again, welcome!

Regarding the pics you upload

Heya. I like how you get a default pose with a white background on the NPC pics you upload. However, think you could upload them a bit bigger with more detail?  :D Would be nice to revamp the NPC powers pages with them if they're in more detail. Sera404 02:17, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Sure thing! Or at least, I can try to get higher detailed versions of them. What size should I go for? I have a 1024x768 monitor, but I'll do my best! :D -- Tidbit Jr. 02:21, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
I'll keep the conversation on here so it's easier to keep it together. Don't worry, I'll put you on my watchlist so I can find you easily.  :D
Use the higher graphic settings if you can. On higher settings, some characters, such as Arbiters, look completely different. o_O As to what size... I tend to go with fairly large pictures (such as one of my recent pics, [1]), and let thumbnails sort out sizing if it needs to be smaller. This way, if people are interested in the pic (as I often am), they can click on it and see it in detail. I'm not really sure if there's a default size we should be following though... I'll drop a note to an admin and ask later on if there's some worries about bandwidth issues. Sera404 02:28, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Alrighty, sounds good. I noticed arbiters have a humungous difference between their high-quality and low-quality shaders. And... my first reaction to seeing that new Lord Recluse picture was to cut "Image:Lord_Recluse.jpg" out of my address bar and put in "Arachnos#Lord_Recluse," all the while saying "did he change it, did he change it? YES!!" Been wanting to do something like that for a while, but was never sure if I should or not. I'll work on trying to get higher resolution versions of the ones I recently uplaoded, then work on others as we go along. Anything in particular you think I should get onto a white background ASAP? Tidbit Jr. 02:34, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
How about the ones you've uploaded so far such as Shadow Spider and Viridian? I like that their combat clothing is different to their 'civvies' outfits, but they could be in more higher resolution and larger filesize so they don't lose detail.  :D After that... well. I dunno, haha. Maybe the Rikti page? Sera404 02:44, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Alrighty, updated the Rikti Priest, Dra'Gon, Viridian, and Shadow Spider ones. Do you know if those "thumb" boxes have to be around the images whenever they're next to their own powers list? Personally I like the Rikti page's format better where, when/because they have a white background, they can omit the thumb tag. Tidbit Jr. 04:25, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
I suppose it depends on the pic and page itself. That's why I liked how Hro'Dtohz, the Honoree and U'Kon Gr'ai look on the Rikti page. But on their individual pages, thumbnail pages would be nice because you could add comments. But as I said, it depends on the pic itself. See the Ghost Widow page, for example, which I worked on. There's a really nice big pic with a white background which was already there, so I just positioned it somewhere else to take advantage of it.  :D Sera404 04:45, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Hopefully you're reading this, Sera404; I still don't quite understand how talk pages and notifications of replies works on the wiki. Anyway, I was looking at some of the Arachnos pictures you had updated with higher-quality versions, and was wondering whether or not you think they're a bit dark. It may just be my monitor, but it's pretty hard to see detail on that picture of Captain Mako on the picture you uploaded, for instance; at least, when it's downsized on the arachnos page. Tidbit Jr. 21:58, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
The meeting room is a bit dark, which probably explains why the pic looks so dark. The same goes for Ghost Widow on the same page, since they were taken at the same time. Scirocco's more okay due to a lighter wall behind him. I suppose I could do it something like the Buttcape page, and purposely lighten the picture a bit before uploading it again. I'll do it later, since it's Christmas now  :3 Sera404 00:30, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
That's probably one reason I do the whole demoedit thing. In addition to not having to see a distracting background (which in some cases obscures parts of the NPCs' costumes), it also helps me keep a consistent, daytime-ish lighting for all the screenshots. I updated most of the widow images on the Arachnos Widows page, though most of them are pretty dark to begin with. Ah well, that's Arachnos for ya'! Also, I'd send you a tell so that there wouldn't be these huge blocks of text, but I'm not sure that tells go across to the EU servers from the US ones, right? PS: Oh and Happy Christmas.
