Since you've been keeping up with the whole animated emotes thing, I thought you might have an opinion on this subject:
 +
 +
In addition to the CoH Size Chart.jpg and permission to move the animated emotes, Mantid sent me an animated gif with Ms Liberty displaying the various level-up animations (There's a different explosion for every 10-level bracket, plus one for lv50). The problem is that the image's file size is too large to upload to the wiki (399x299, with 6 animations). Until and unless he takes down his website, the image is available here, but there's no guarantee how long it'll be available there.
 +
 +
It's only a bit over 2MB, which is the upload limit, so it might become small enough with some compression or cropping, but I don't have a program which can edit animated gifs (without throwing away the animation). On the other hand, it may not really be worthwhile, since everyone will eventually see the various explosions anyway, though they may not realize it changes (I know I didn't until Mantid sent me the link) --Fleeting Whisper 01:11, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

o.o I moved those to the top of the article because they don't really have anything to do with the either argument. The new admin of the game having the good common sense to return a well liked group slowly back into sections of the game is like saying that the USSR wasn't really communist because the modern day successor government is capitalist (odd example I know). Sure, its related, but its a well after the fact relation. That page when it was started was suppose to be a statement of the arguments at the time, their points, and the supporting evidence either way.

>.> I'm not saying a note shouldn't be there that a form of the content has been since returned to the live version, just that if we're treating it like it currently is, it isn't a historical piece, but in fact an old and ongoing war of opinions.--Sleepykitty 09:40, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Circle of Pumpkins?

How are you seeing a circle of pumpkins at Halloween GM spawn sites. I've never seen one, and even double checked just now, with my graphics turned all the way up. -- StarGeekTalk page 19:19, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

 • It's not a circle, but I can confirm it. During the Halloween events, GM spawn sites -do- feature pumpkin patches. - Baalus Seth 13:33, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Awkward Grammar

I do realize that "Day Jobs" Badges is awkward, however the actual category under which the badges fall in the badge window in the game is "Day Jobs" and not "Day Job", thus the original placement of the article. For the sake of consistency, the article should probably match the category as it appears in the game (with a redirect from "Day Job" to "Day Jobs".) --Eabrace 01:33, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

But we fix grammar when it's wrong in game... bleh... I will just have to stifle my Inner English Critic. I vastly, VASTLY prefer "Day Job Badges" but if majority votes against grammar, then the wiki will go against grammar. -- Aggelakis 02:01, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
I actually had the article all ready to go as "Day Job" to begin with, but checked the category in-game before I saved it and changed it to match when I saw it was "Jobs". But I haven't moved it back yet. Going to see if we can get a consensus on the Paragon Forums on how we want to break up the badge articles before we start shuffling things around. "Accolades, Defeats, Events, Day Jobs" as per in-game vs. "Accolade, Defeat, Event, Day Job". --Eabrace 02:05, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

subst:welcome

I put the welcome template change in place that you brought up. Just wanted to mention to you that you'll have to use the subst: keyword when using the welcome template in the future, like so: . (The template should have had documentation explaining that already, dunno why it didn't... I went ahead and added it.) -- Sekoia 22:16, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Awesome :) Thankee! -- Aggelakis 22:29, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Testing Signature

Thanks very much for the help Aggelakis. Still a LOT to learn on my side. Do you by chance know how to do a double ended Userbox?

Thanks again, Deetes (Talk) 01:37, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Canada Joe

Yes, he exists but serves no function what-so-ever. If he is listed, thereis no reason not to list all of the other NPC's that are in the area: the ones that tell the in-game time, RL Time, mssion accomplishments, etc... User:Thebog1 12/29/08 5:15am PST

Those exist under Civilian NPCs, and are not static NPCs. Canada Joe is a static NPC easter egg. -- Agge (talk) 13:16, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
 • You mean other than the parts where...
 1. There's only one of him.
 2. He's always at the same spot.
 3. He has unique dialogue.
etc...? -Baalus Seth 13:18, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

What's the difference, since both serve no particularly useful function in-game. (Some citizens do, on occasion, prove useful). User:Thebog1 12/29/08 5:19am PST

A: He's there. B; He's unique. C: He's amusing to listen to. - Baalus Seth 13:20, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Ok, if he has his own dialogue, let's get it up to make him 'unique'. I looked at his page several times and he is >not< outstanding when compared to citizens. Hence why he seems.. all-but-pointless, lol. User:Thebog1 12/29/08 5:22am PST

That's 'cause his page is woefully incomplete. -- Baalus Seth 13:24, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
He is a static NPC. Static NPCs are listed. He is not a special contact, so he doesn't deserve separation from the neighborhood roundup.
Additionally, sign changes on talk pages with four tildes: ~~~~ -- Agge (talk) 13:23, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Mm. As far as I can tell, you're referencing static to mean non-moving. He doesn't move but I'm trying to comprehend why he needs to be individually listed when there is no functionality associated with him. I won't remove him any more though I fail to see a purpose for his mention and/or existance as-of-yet. As for the Plaque Badges, that's fine. I'll edit their links to direct to the actual plaque badges then. And signing - ya' mean this: - Bog01 8:27AM EST

It doesn't matter whether you think he is special or not. He is an NPC that stays where he is, there's only one of him, and he has player interaction. You click on him and he responds with, "How's it goin', eh?" This is what makes him special. He's not just Random Schmoe on the street.
And no, sign by using four tildes in a row(tildes are "~"). -- Agge (talk) 13:30, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
 • Static means more than doesn't move. He's always there, sure as the Arbiters and the Contacts. He has functionality. He talks idly to himself, and responds if clicked. He's a point of interest. That's more than enough to warrant a note in the Wiki. -- Baalus Seth 13:32, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Ok. I updated the Plaques on P.Oakes and went to do the Mercy one but someone already did it, much better than me. If it was you, hope you do P.Oakes to, lol.

.. I am updating >every< contact's store. Most have the wrong numbers. Shelly, Dmitri, Golden Roller, Brass and Wheeler accurately updated, verified in-game at time of update edit.

Thebog1

lol, I appreciate the updates...however, if you want to make notes, a good way to keep track is to use a sandbox in your userspace: click here for a page for yourself: User:Thebog1/sandbox (like User:Aggelakis/todo is mine). -- Agge (talk) 03:00, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Ok. I just wanted to update you since you kept checking the updates I was adding, lol.Thebog1 03:02, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
No problem...I keep an eye on Special:RecentChanges so I can see them even if you don't keep notes here on my talk page. Smilies smile.gif -- Agge (talk) 03:03, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Ok, well Cap's stores have been properly updated. The only one(s) I don't have access to are the VEAT ones.. I think I >may< have access to Alan Desslock's but I don't have access to the one in Cap (yet). As I level my VEAT, I'll update but, for now, that's all I'll be adding. until my VEAT gets out of those areas.

Userboxes?

What's the point of edits [1], [2], [3]? Why mutilate the userpage to remove some categorizing, if (as it loosk to me) something in the templates is to blame? - Baalus Seth 05:39, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Um...mutilate? I fixed them. They had copy-pasted the entire code blocks from the template pages themselves (including all markup, <noinclude>s, and everything else) instead of using Userbox Whatever. -- Agge (talk) 06:04, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
I R SO SMRT. -- Baalus Seth 06:51, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Red Numbers in Drop Pools

Why did you re-redify the level numbers on costume & temp power recipes in the Recipe Drop Pools article? I checked a few of them in-game and they were correct. Does red mean something besides "unconfirmed"? Corebreach 08:51, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Sister Psyche Merit Value

Store Edits

Is there a particular reason you're changing the format of the store lists? The way I did it was easier on the eyes and formed as an actual list of wares; your format is nothing more than statements of what they sell, not visually easy on the eye or helpful to those wishing to skim to look for the specific items sold. I'm going to revert just the store lists (since I have ebeen also reforming the zone wikis to follow the same format they were all in, Mercy > Grandville eventually w/ same format, since they're all zone wikis Thebog1

I honestly do not find your format easier to read than mine. Instead of reverting, I recommend taking it to the forum and get a consensus.
Additionally, please, please remember to sign your posts on talk pages. You consistently do not do this. -- Agge (talk) 01:15, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
i don't forget to sign my posts, just don't remember the format.
* 1. The way I'd done it formed an actual list. The Store section lists the vendor's wares. Keyword is a list, corect?
* 2. You deleted 'Quartermasters' from the contacts. They were there because they're the 'contact' for wares. It makes no sense to list their locations elsewhere (location x, y, z wise) when they can just as easily go in the contacts section, under Quartermasters as it was originally.
* 3. You changed the format of the pages, so instead of 10 segments, it's 6. That's fine but I spent this entire weeking updating the wikis Mercy, Port, Cap & Shark to resemble identical formats as Nerva, Sant Martial and Grandville. If you're going to change the format for the first four, I demand you change Nerva, St. Martial and Grandville >RIGHT< now, because it's otherwise just rude. (IMO, it was just rude as well since the format it was previously in worked just as well.
* 4. I spent an entire weekend updating and fixing and adding store information, locations for contacts, running around, getting those things done and for you to come on here and just outright change everything (almost literally) is essentially like a slap in the face. As aforementioned, the format being followed was not of my own design, but I rationalized that all zone wikis should follow the same format, to the 't'. To have you come on here and 'redo' or 'fix' everything is basically saying 'You screwed up the entire page' and makes people not even want to bother. I'm not being harsh, I'm being direct. You're monopolized attitude of the edits is unwelcoming, cold shoulderish and definitively bullish. If that's the way it's going to go/be, don't expect nearly as many people to bother offering and submitting additional information and/or corrections. They, like I, wouldn't want some 'jerk' to come along and say, whether directly or indirectly, that their contributions are screwed up. Have a nice friggen night. SIGNED THEBOG1.
I've responded to this on Thebog1's talk page. The tone of this conversation is escalating in a very negative way. Let's try to avoid continuing it in that vein. If either of you wishes to discuss the formatting of the store pages further, please do so on the forums. Thank you. -- Sekoia 01:41, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Sister Psyche TF

You undid my edit. This information IS NOT available on the TF page. The mobs spawn at 25 even if the team is all 22. It screwed me up big time, I'd like to propagate that information. Please reapply my edit. -- (unsigned edit: Office Man 13:24, March 6, 2009)

Enemy level information is available on the Task Force page.
Additionally, please remember to sign your talk page comments with four tildes (the squiggly up by the tab key, ~). This automagically makes a link to your user page and inserts a timestamp. -- Agge (talk) 22:17, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
I started a thread on our forums to discuss this further. Thanks! -- Sekoia 22:01, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't have a forum account, but there you said 'Ouro TF/SFs are all signature, they spawn at the top of their level ranges,' which is incorrect. The Oro TF/SFs scale to team level just like the respec trials. Syrusb 18:18, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
