Hello, Deetes, and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of Userboxes you can easily add there. If you need help, ask me on my talk page or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the Forum. It will require a separate registration (login and password), but most users use the same username in both places. There's even a RSS Feed, if you're into that.

Also, make sure you take a look at the Help page. There is a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info, and what you want to add might already be there.

Optional Header Text This user suffers from Altitis and possibly Altsheimers as well. Fortunately for this user, neglect of player characters is not a crime… yet. This user's time zone is Central Time.

Instead of copying the contents of the userboxes, simply use the template names. The above text produces the list on the right. This also does not place your user page in inappropriate template categories.

The Way of the Wiki

Thanks for the help. I come from old school notepad HTML programming. I like the possibilities of wiki, and it's usability. Unfortunately there's no easy way to jump in, so please bear with me as I try to navigate and learn the way of the wiki.

For some reason I also can't seem to figure out the friggen signature codeing. Can anybody help me with that and fixing the time zone issue?

Regarding the time zone issue, do you mean the time that shows in the timestamp? Because that shows UTC no matter what. Otherwise, you can set Date and Time in Special:Preferences. -- Aggelakis 01:02, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

I Did use the 4~ but the actual coding of the signature on the preferences page is not registering the Talk portion of it, also I've seen others use the Actuall Time zone time instead of the UTC. Wondered how. Did set the preferences for time though. Deetes (Talk) 01:18, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Hehe. It's not registering the talk page because you're using on your talk page. :) If you use it somewhere else (go ahead and test it out on my talk page if you like), it'll link to this page, your talk page.

I don't know how someone would sign in another time zone, the timestamp is dictated by the server. I can't remember seeing otherwise on this wiki. -- Aggelakis 01:24, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

If you look on the wikipedia userboxes page, it shows you can make a userbox with an Icon/Image on each end of the box, but I can't seem to decipher their code to make it work. (Been out of college, and the field too long. :-)) Deetes (Talk) 01:45, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Userboxes Text in the middle

Until a userbox template is created with an option to have an icon on each side, we don't have access to them. I went ahead and created one for you: Template:Userbox_Generic2
