The Paragon Rewards Program was introduced to take over from the Veteran Rewards Program. Instead of granting a specific reward every three months, it allows a player to choose which reward they want out of a tier-restricted "tree" of rewards by spending Reward Tokens.
Description
The Paragon Rewards Program includes powers, costume pieces, base items and other additional gameplay perks. It also allows Premium Players to access to game features otherwise restricted to VIP subscribers. Content and features unlocked via Paragon Rewards stay unlocked for that account, regardless of subscription status, except for Tier 9 VIP rewards.
Reward Token Acquisition
VIP Subscribers
- VIP subscribers are given one Reward Token per month of paid subscription time and one additional Reward Token for every full 12 months of paid subscription time.

- Premium Players who were previous subscribers will gain a variable number of reward tokens based on previous paid subscription time. This will help someone figure out how many Reward Tokens should be awarded.
Free Players
- Free Players are granted one reward token with account creation.
Rewards Tiers
There are nine tiers of rewards. Tiers are composed of one to seven reward slots, which include previous Veteran Rewards Program items and new items. It also includes a set of Tier 9 VIP rewards at that are restricted to VIP Players.
Tier Progression
Players can choose rewards in any order they wish within a tier. In order to advance to the next tier of rewards, a player's current rewards tier must be completely slotted.
Tier 1
Reward Level 1
- Unlock Requirement: One Reward Token owned.
- Free Players occupy this tier
Rookie
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificate: Mission Teleporter temporary power with 5 charges
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following account item certificates: Two certificates for one Random Dual Inspiration (small, medium or large) and one certificate for the XP Booster temporary power
Tier 2
Reward Level 2
- Unlock Requirement: Two Reward Tokens owned.
- Owning two Reward Tokens grants the following to Premium Players:
- Owning two Reward Tokens grants the following to VIP subscribers: +2 Salvage Inventory, +1 Recipe Inventory
Trench Coats
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following automatically to all characters: Trench Coats costume piece
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificates: One Tailor Token and the Experienced Temporary Power with 5 charges
Tier 3
Reward Level 3
- Unlock Requirement: 5 Reward Tokens owned.

- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following account item certificates: Random Dual Inspirations (small, medium or large) x2 and Random Team Inspirations (medium, medium dual, large or large dual) x2

- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following automatically to all characters: Belly Shirts (female) and Scottish Kilts (male) costume pieces
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificates: One Tailor Token and one character Respec
Weapons and Sprints
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificates: Melee Weapon Choice (Ghost Slaying Axe or Sand of Mu), Prestige Sprints (Rush, Dash, Quick and Surge), Wall Mounted Weapon Displays base item

- Unlock Requirement: 8 Reward Tokens owned.

- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificates: Non-Combat Pet Choice (Demon Pet, Clockwork Pet, Red Cap Pet, Rikti Monkey Pet, Robot Pet) and Arachnos Flyer and Longbow Chaser base items
Base Teleporter
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following automatically to all characters: Veteran Titles for level 15 characters
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificates: Emergency Base Teleporter power and Posters of the CoH comic covers base items
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following account item certificates: Windfall Temporary Power with one charge
Ranged Powers
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following automatically to all characters: Ranged Weapon Choice (Nemesis Staff or Blackwand)
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificates: One character Respec
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following account item certificates: XP Booster temporary power with one charge

Combat Pets
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificates: Pet Choice (Light Fairy, Dark Fairy, Blue Wisp, Red Wisp, Shield Oscillator, Power Oscillator, Shield Drone or Power Drone)
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following account item certificates: Two Random Team Inspirations (medium, medium dual, large or large dual)
Attack Powers
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following character item certificates: Attack Power Choice (Ghost Slaying Axe, Sands of Mu, Nemesis Staff or Blackwand)

Inspiration Bonus
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following automatically to all characters: Inspirations are 5% more effective (Disabled in PvP zones)

Return to Battle

Signature Summon

XP Boosters
- Each time a reward token is placed in this slot it grants the following account item certificates: Eight certificates for the XP Booster temporary power

Enhancement Boosters

- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following automatically to all characters: Head and Upper Body Celestial costume pieces
- This pack is available exclusively for VIP subscribers
Celestial Pack II
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following automatically to all characters: Lower Body and Back Celestial costume pieces
- This pack is available exclusively for VIP subscribers
Celestial Pack III
- Placing a reward token in this slot grants the following automatically to all characters: Aura and Weapon Celestial costume pieces

Converting from Veteran Rewards Program
For a veteran from before City of Heroes Freedom launch, it takes a simple math formula to assess the number of tokens an account will have.
N/4 + N/12 (N = Number of months subscribed; round down)
For those that prefer not to have to do the math above, you can simply add up your veteran rewards tokens and add one token for every four veteran badges. You can find the tier you are entitled to by finding your highest veteran reward on the following table.
