Welcome!

Hello, Rigel Kent, and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of Userboxes you can easily add there. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.

Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the forum. If you need help, ask me on my talk page or ask on the forums and someone will try to to answer your questions shortly.

Also, make sure you take a look at the Help page. There are a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info templates, and what you want to add might already be there.

Again, welcome! -- Snorii 10:13, 22 May 2007

Uploading Files

Just wanted to let you know that you can put an image into a category while you are uploading it. Just type in the category information in the summary area. By the way, thanks for uploading all of those images.  :D - Snorii 20:32, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

NoFuture use

Wanted to make a quick note before you went through and went crazy on the {{NoFutureIO}} usage. See the talk page. -- Agge (talk) 22:09, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Kinetic Melee Icons

I saw you uploading cropped GIF images of the Kinetic Melee icons and uploaded the PNGs myself. Don't worry about what you're doing, since it's now taken care of. (-: --GuyPerfect 20:34, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

In Development

Out of curiosity, where are you getting the information for the yet-to-be-released Power Sets? --GuyPerfect 16:42, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

They're on beta but inactivated. You can't purchase or unlock them, but the information for them is there, if you can guess the power names and link them in chat. Rigel Kent 16:46, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
I'm sure (as in, 99.7% certain) that whoever started linking them got to the power names by hacking. The likelihood of someone guessing every power for all the new sets is... not so great. The wiki has a policy where we don't document information that the devs haven't themselves presented, and these new sets fall under that category. --GuyPerfect 16:49, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
If you think someone's broken into the devs' computers, I'm not the person to report that to. All I'm doing is confirming information and formatting it to look nice. Rigel Kent 16:59, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
It wouldn't require any unauthorized access to any systems: the power data is already there in the client files. That's what makes it a slippery issue, since it is conceivable that this information could have been derived through normal gameplay. However, it's obvious that the devs don't want this information public just yet, and the wiki has a responsibility to honor that concern. --GuyPerfect 17:03, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
I oppose the deletion of these pages. I have blanked them as a courtesy if you wish to request their deletion through other channels. Rigel Kent 17:25, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Can you give a link to where you found the power names? -- Sekoia 17:43, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
I got them from chat while logged in beta. Some in server Help channel, some in the Beta Testers global channel. They were power links, so I could easily confirm the information by clicking on them. Rigel Kent 17:47, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Gotcha. This is kinda murky, because Guy's right, Titan Network and the Paragon Wiki make it a policy to not document stuff like this until the devs seem to be okay with it being public. If someone posted it on the forums and it didn't get modsmacked, I'd take that to mean they're okay with it being out. But they have no way to police the server chat channels.
Until this dispute can be resolved, please hold off on uploading any more power icons that reference specific power names in the file's name. When we delete an article, the article's name remains in the Recent Changes history and we have no way to remove it. -- Sekoia 18:16, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
I have to admit, when I looked at the Recent Changes, and saw Water Blast was officially posted here... I assumed that there had been a leak of some sort that I was not aware of (like how the expanded i23 info got here... I never actually saw the website when it had the info). As such, when I saw numerous discussions about this set, other sets, the new AT, and Sorcery Power Pool... again I thought someone had legitimately gotten info somehow from a public source. Apparently this is incorrect. As such, I completely agree with Guy's position on this, and have to agree that the pages be left blank! —Thirty7 Talk-Icon.jpg 23:24, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

I've selectively removed the information from the page histories of the five articles involved. When the time comes for it to be appropriate for it to be on the wiki, I can selectively restore it so that the work isn't wasted. Just drop a note on my talk page if need be to let me know when the time comes, I'd hate to see that effort lost. -- Sekoia 04:29, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
