Talk:Paragon Studios
Policy Note:
This section is for employees of NorCal/Paragon Studios. Employees who worked at NorCal before the rebranding are still considered as Paragon Studios employees for this wiki's purposes. Unlike the previous dev team with Cryptic Studios, Community Reps, Forum Admin, and other employees stationed at the Mountain View facility are considered as belonging to this page.
At such a time as a member of Paragon Studios leaves the team or it is discovered to have left, their name is not to be struck from this list. At most, a note may be added afterwords that they have left and/or are no longer with the company. In cases where a member is promoted to a new position, please adjust this page accordingly and make sure that their individual page is noted with the change while retaining information on their previous post.
Qs
Is this meant to be a list of current employees at NCNC, or a total list for historical purposes? SpaceNut 03:52, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Considering the Cryptic Studios page lists past and "present" (just prior to the split) employees, this should also do so. -- Aggelakis 05:27, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- o,o basically, think of this as the wiki's equivalent of the credits page on the game manual. Even if the person is no longer with the company, they worked on the product, thus, they're credited. Sadly, our page is a good bit more up to date than the credits page because it never seemed to be updated after CoV came out. Ideally, the dev's individual page would list if they are still with the company or not. Often times, we don't hear about there leaving (or even employment!) till well after the fact. --Sleepykitty 09:39, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Gotcha. My whole purpose for asking was that Koschej is gone, and I wasn't sure if he should be removed from the page. SpaceNut 17:02, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Rebranded
Article about it here and here. - Snorii 21:19, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
- o,o beat me to it. *hands Snorii a pillow and blankie* --Sleepykitty 02:07, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
Avatea
Shouldn't Avatea be here now. She is based in the Studio and is involved both the EU and US communities. Catwhoorg 12:01, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Also, new programmer from the same article. SpaceNut 12:44, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Red Skeleton
I have no idea where Red Skeleton fits now that he's not working with Ghost Falcon (while GF was on paternity leave). His title is "QA Lead" - I'm not sure what department that is in. He's currently listed under Production. ~ AGGE talk/cons 04:08, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- I was under the impression that he didn't actually work for Paragon Studios itself, but was with the NCSoft QA group, and when Ghost Falcon went on paternitity leave, he filled in for him but has since gone back to NCSoft. Pure supposition on my part. --K26dp 14:09, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- GF said he's the CoH QA Lead though, not just any NCsoft QA Lead, which I think is appropriate to list here (not to mention we don't just remove names from the list, so he'd at worst drop down to "former staff", but that is a misnomer since he's not former at all). Perhaps a new section for Quality Assurance (or whatever they're calling it these days), with a note like the Sound department that QA is mainly sourced from NCsoft. ~ AGGE talk/cons 23:45, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- o.o sounds like a good idea, we never bothered before on the old page because of the split nature of the operations... We'll likely be overhauling this page in about 2 months anyway when the new dev and support list comes out. --Sleepykitty 18:22, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
New Hires
Another recent new hire: Dr. Aeon (Developer) - I am unsure whether his role would be under Programming or Design. He's working with Hero 1 (Design) and pohsyb (Programming), but he's also mentioned as playing with the world builder with War Witch (Design). He could be like Positron (Management/Design), and be listed under multiple departments. ~ AGGE talk/cons 23:45, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- He sounds like a systems analyst, with his system specifically being Mission Architect. From what it looks like he's doing, he's gathering specs on what the end-users (playerbase) want and what bugs exist, then taking that information to refine the design to get a better product out of programming. Again, pure supposition on my part. --K26dp 13:33, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Post from David Nakayama referencing Adam Kay is here[1]. Putting `"Adam Kay" ncsoft` in Google brings up a linkedin profile mentioning the SF Bay area, so it could be possible that he's on site. SaintNicster 14:05, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Paragon did have a help wanted ad for a Sound Engineer which was removed in Feb '09, so, I'd say he's definitely on-site.Zombie Man 17:23, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
