If Then Else Fi

Didn't I see something about If/Then statements being implemented? We could do away with the {{{avatar}}} thing and have it so that if the third option is missing then it does the signature, but if you include |a at the end, then the avatar is used instead. After hacking at it a bit, I was able to get it to at least give the correct image locations. Is it possible to actually display the image from CIT's servers?.SaintNicster 20:59, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

In the past, links to external images would render as the image. This behavior is seemingly now unreliable. I'm not sure if Wikia keeps changing settings or what, but for now it looks like it's not possible. -- Sekoia 14:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

URL issues

As evidenced by the history, I attempted to change the format/layout of this template.

SHORT VERSION: Images work, URLS do not.

Issues:

• Legacy support:
  • CiT allows Avatar linking to old character ID's: http://avatars.cohtitan.com/signatures/cit/7823.png =
  • However, old character id's do not seem to link to anything: http://cit.cohtitan.com/character/7823 = "The character you are trying to view is either hidden or does not exist."
• New id's
  • New character id's have a "u" in front and link properly: http://avatars.cohtitan.com/signatures/cit/u151913.png =
  • And they link properly: http://cit.cohtitan.com/character/151913 =

So, figuring out new id's is difficult as no text is returned by the old ID image. One would have to manually search for all 6 old image id's names.
