While extruding ice cores from a glacier on Greenland, a glaciologist discovered a sword embedded in the ice. This was no man-made sword; it was the enchanted weapon of the Norse god Freyr. At that very moment , he became bound to the god and would soon learn that it was his fate to serve as Freyr's emissary on Earth...and beyond.

Freyr reclaimed his sword and knighted the glaciologist. The god dubbed him "Knight of the Northern Chill" and transformed him into a supernatural being with an array of powers, including the ability to command the harshest elements of winter. He has since become known to the public as "Knight Chill".

Knight Chill's ultimate task is to aid the Norse gods in a new war against the dreaded Surtr and his army of fire giants. It is not yet known when this war will begin. In the meantime, you'll find Knight Chill honing his battle skills in and around Paragon City.
