A couple years back, I emailed Cryptic to find out if it was permissible to use on the servers that appeared in a novel I had written.  The novel was published, so it would fall under the EULA section regarding character naming.  Since I own the copyright to the story, my email asked if it was all right that I use the name because of this.  They never responded to me -[[User:Blue Orchid|Blue Orchid]] 13:36, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

The last part of this might need some tweaking.  I know a player with at least a few characters whose names take the form of ''.Name''.  --[[User:Eabrace|Eabrace]] 00:01, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Naming Player Characters

A couple years back, I emailed Cryptic to find out if it was permissible to use on the servers that appeared in a novel I had written. The novel was published, so it would fall under the EULA section regarding character naming. Since I own the copyright to the story, my email asked if it was all right that I use the name because of this. They never responded to me -Blue Orchid 13:36, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Valid Characters in Names

From the most recent revision:

There are only 4 non-alphanumerical characters allowed in a PC name: . ' - ? (period, apostrophe, hyphen, question mark). And you can only have one of those four appear only once in a name but not as the first character.

The last part of this might need some tweaking. I know a player with at least a few characters whose names take the form of .Name. --Eabrace 00:01, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
