User talk:Starman3000
Welcome!
Hello, Starman3000, and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of Userboxes you can easily add there. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the forum. It will require a separate registration (login and password), but most users use the same username in both places. There's even an RSS Feed, if you're into that.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page or ask on the forums and someone will try to to answer your questions shortly.
Also, make sure you take a look at the Help page. There are a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info templates, and what you want to add might already be there.
Again, welcome! -- Eabrace 19:26, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Sandbox
Just letting you know that using {{Contact Overview}} puts your sandbox page in official categories and creates "wanted categories" for the invalid parameters that you used (note the categories at the bottom of the page). ~ AGGE talk/cons 05:46, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Oops... Sorry, I didn't know that was going to happen. X-( But I have removed the {{Contact Overview}} stuff from my page. Hopefully all the references they created disappear also...? Starman3000 22:19, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Yep! It's not a huge deal, you could have left them up if you needed the references temporarily; we'd just go in and clean it up a while down the road. ALTERNATELY, you can wrap templates in <nowiki></nowiki> and they will not actually parse the template; instead, it'd show the coding for the template.
- For example, instead of showing the {{MeritCost}} template all filled out and perty, which categorizes the page inappropriately based on the parameters used, you can simply show the code:
- {{MeritCost|0}}
- {{MeritCost|150}}
- For example, instead of showing the {{MeritCost}} template all filled out and perty, which categorizes the page inappropriately based on the parameters used, you can simply show the code:
Deleting Pages
I noticed that you had some text on a subpage asking how to delete a page that you subsequently deleted to "blank" the page. All you have to do is use the {{delete}} Template and include a reason for the page's deletion and it will be added to a category (Category:Candidate for Deletion) that Mods review and then they delete the page.
Example: {{delete|Page is no longer in use, I don't need it anymore.}} Will yield a red divbox with default text plus your reason as well as tagging the page with the right Categories as I mentioned above. —Thirty7 10:56, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
