Monica Haliburton was an aspiring young astronaut that was chosen at the last second to join the expedition to Saturn. Some bad mojo went down and all but 2 of the 7 crew members died, with Monica being severely burned by plasma stuffs. The other crew member put Monica into stasis and flew the ship back to earth, going insane in the process. Before NASA could recover the remains of the ship, the Circle of Thorns thought it'd be fun to play with the wreckage since Saturn was in alignment with Vega.
