Is the Alpha and others shared between the builds, or would it require having to craft a new Alpha for each one (similar to normal enhancements)? I haven't actually tested that, haha... Respecs
I believe it is safe to assume that earned and free respecs are stored "globally" on that character, rather than "locally" one the individual builds. However, I have not attempted a respec on Training Room yet. This is one of the questions that needs to be addressed in the article. --Konoko 20:13, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
- Interesting point. At the moment, I only have the respecs I have on live, so if they were somehow tied to a specific build, they'd be tied to my original builds. I suppose the quick way to find out would be to switch builds, train up, and see if I can do a respec. --Eabrace 22:31, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
- I did a Multiple Build on Test and no Respec was charged against me. Just went to the trainer and picked my 2nd build and started picking powers. I'm not sure if any of the ones I earned on Live were available or not since I did it with a character I transfered to test some time ago but I have gong on 36 months in game and have a TON of them available as Vet Rewards. Miss Liberty never even asked for a Respec token just let me do what I wanted.Taxibot Sara2.0 03:23, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Taxibot Sara2.0
- Oh, there's definitely no respec charged the first time you create your alternate build. What we're wondering is once you've already got an established alternate build if you're pulling from one pool of respecs for both builds or if each build has its own pool of respec tokens. --Eabrace 04:25, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Limitations
It probably should be pointed out that not only are you limited to the same powersets but you're also limited to the same bodytype in the multiple build. If your original build is a huge male, then your second build will also be a huge male. (No Bruce/Hulk changes here!) --BattlerockX 14:37, 03 December 2008
- Considering multibuilds are for powers, not costumes, I don't think this is necessary to mention. Over in costumes and related pages, it specifies you cannot change body types. -- Aggelakis 22:01, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Minimum Level?
There appears to be a minimum level for the second build. Anyone know what it may be? -- StarGeekTalk page 23:19, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- I believe it was level 10. --Eabrace 23:38, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it is level 10. --User:Ockham
