Welcome!
Hello, Fleeting Whisper, and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of Userboxes you can easily add there. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the Forum, which will use the same name/password that you used when you signed up with the wiki. If you ever feel the need to change your password, you will need to do so there instead of here in the wiki. And there's even a RSS Feed, if you're into that.
Also, make sure you take a look at the Help page. There is a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info, and what you want to add might already be there.
Again, welcome! ∙ Snorii Talk ∙ Contribs 10:00, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
Disambiguation pages
I've noticed you've been creating some disambiguation pages lately. Those are tremendously helpful, so thanks for taking the time to do it! When making them, though, it's not necessary to create a page with the name "(Disambiguation)" in its title -- especially if the page name without that is redirecting there. So for example -- please just make "Gale" a disambiguation; don't redirect "Gale" to "Gale (Disambiguation)". Disambiguation pages shouldn't have that in the title except in unusual circumstances. Thanks! -- Sekoia 14:25, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Paragon Times Articles
Just wanted to say thanks for pitching in on the Paragon Times articles. I'm delighted to see that someone is interested in helping on those. :) --Eabrace 16:46, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
It's official. You are an archiving machine. In appreciation, I award you the unofficial title of Paragon Wiki's own Paragon Times Archivist. Here's a badge to go with your new title.

- D'aww, thanks :) Still can't find a bunch of the images, though... :( --Fleeting Whisper 06:04, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Redirects
Hi Fleeting! Just thought I'd offer a quick tip. If you leave the edit summary blank when creating a redirect, the wiki will automatically fill it in for you. So #REDIRECT [[Badges]] would automatically get an edit summary of "Redirecting to Badges" if you leave it blank. It helps make it clearer in the Recent Changes log what's going on, and makes it easier on the editor since they don't have to type it out. :) (It's certainly not required though so don't feel obligated to do it!) -- Sekoia 14:54, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Animated Emote Images
Hey, Fleeting, could you do me a big favor and hold off on uploading the animated emote images for a bit? I think they might be choking out the wiki on the back end. I tried to bring up the Uncategorized Files page and the wiki appeared to work on it for over half an hour and never even started displaying the page, let alone the thumbnails. Going to the Upload Log and opening the images one by one to add categories to them, about 3/4 came up after very long delays and the rest were generating database errors.
Database error From Paragon Wiki Jump to: navigation, search A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was: (SQL query hidden) from within function "". MySQL returned error "1205: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction (localhost)".
I know it's not viewing the images itself that's the issue for me. I can go to Mantid's guide and pop the images right up with no perceivable delay. It just seems the wiki isn't handling the images well at all.
I'm going to see if I can get a clearer picture of what's going on from the wiki's side of things and I'll try to get back to you with whatever info I can get.
Thanks. --Eabrace 05:07, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- OK, Sekioa dug around a bit in the backend and got everything at least semi-functional. The thumbnail generation is still an issue, but the images themselves are at least able to display and accept edits to their descriptions without producing database query errors now. Might take a while before Sekoia or Tony gets the chance to figure out the rest of the puzzle, but we should be at least in a state where the images are usable now.
- So, I think you can go ahead and resume uploading. But if you could do me one more favor and tag the images with [[Category:Emote Images]] when you upload them, that'll make it easier for us to keep the Uncategorized Files pages mostly clear. :)
- Thanks for your patience. --Eabrace 06:50, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
I saved the original leveling image from Mantid's site and modified it by removing every other frame of animation to cut the file size roughly in half. I've uploaded it here. Think that'll be sufficient? --Eabrace 01:35, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
I left a response on my talk page. -- Agge (talk) 06:01, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
In response to your message: I've got you covered on that one. Plug this emote into a demo file and you'll be all set.

Animated Images
- Rather than continue to post stuff about this on the Emotes talk page, I decided to pay you a visit to further inquire about this - I'm working on the Animation Customization page as a little bit of a pet project, and recently collected the MOV lines for (most of) the powers with multiples, after you told me what was needed.
- I've run into two problems, though. I don't have access to a copy of Photoshop and would rather not go off into pirate land for it, and I can't figure out how to properly get the isolated demo you made to work with Assassin's Blow, since it's got multiple animation calls and timing and whatnot - the actual attack animation works fine, but I just can't get the windup to do anything.

- I did modify both slightly, but tested them to make sure they worked as expected before posting, and just re-checked them by copying them directly off the wiki page and running them straight as was.
That said, I'll put the originals in full text on my talk page (don't want to clutter yours up).Just realized I actually saved the edits to the originals without making copies, so I actually don't have them anymore.
