Overview
A Premium Player is any non-subscription account holder who has ever spent money with NCsoft on City of Heroes, either prior to going free-to-play or by purchasing Paragon Points for use in the Paragon Market. Premium Players do not have a monthly subscription, and thus are limited in their options within the game. VIP Players whose subscriptions lapse turn into Premium Players.
Benefits
- Get everything that Free Players get.
- Retain nearly everything you already purchased including Super Boosters, Mission Architect Story Slots, and directly purchased Character Slots.
- Retain access to most features and benefits enabled by expansions like Going Rogue. This could include game-play mechanics (such as side-switching), zones (such as Praetoria), costumes, emotes, special powers and powersets (such as Dual Pistols and Kinetic Melee). This does not include the Incarnate System.
- Retain all the Veteran Rewards you earned including character slots and respecs/character power respecification.
- Retain all the Veteran Rewards badges previously earned.
What you get by going VIP
- At least 400 free Paragon points per month.
- One Server Transfer per month
- A Reward Token for every month of paid VIP subscription.
Other
Nicknames include preems, freemium and premies.
