Powers
Close Ranks
Close proximity to your allies allows you to both protect them and to deflect attacks much easier. Any teammates who remain nearby gain a bonus to their defense, while simultaneously giving you a small bonus to your melee, ranged and area of effect defense. Each additional teammate will grant a smaller bonus. This power is always on and costs no endurance.
(Note: Preferably, both the self +DEF and the team +DEF from multiple sources should diminish. The team +DEF could simply not stack from multiple sources but that A: makes more than one /Shield less useful and B leads to problems of power priority (the game to the best of my knowledge doesn't have a "pick highest value" option)

Lock Shields
You have locked shields with your allies. You receive a bonus to defense and are more resistant to defense debuffs.

(Note: Yes, you read it right. Def debuff. This power is meant to reduce the ridiculous defense numbers several Shield bearers in close proximity would receive. The debuff should be a bit lower than Close Ranks' self-buff per capita. Why this? Well, it lets the substracted Def come from a newly-buffed ally part of Close Ranks. That'd make /Shield teams not very much weaker but at the same time make teaming with a Shield more enticing for non-Shielders.)
Shield Bash
You swing your shield in a wide arc in front of you to knock your enemies off their feet.

True Grit
Your intense training has left you defiant to the very end. You gain a bonus to your maximum hit points. In addition, as your health drops, you gain an increased defense and regeneration rate. This power is always on and costs no Endurance.
