The Greatgrand-daughter of Ezra Cole, Vanessa Stewart was born without the powers of her Uncle, Marcus Cole (Statesman). Living most of her life on the Outskirts of Paragon City, Vanessa spent most of her time being a normal child, but a small part of her Idolized her uncle. As she reached adulthood, Vanessa attended Paragon City University. During her final years of schooling, the Rikti Invasion came to call on Paragon City. Vanessa was a stalwart beleiver of freedom, and took arms using the Riktis own weaponry against them.

Statesman witnessed this event, and after the inavasion had been pushed back, He offered to help Vanessa become the Hero that he knew she should be. Using his influence with Elite, and Data, Vanessa underwent extensive training and scientific enhancments changing her into a bullet proof tank. Statesmans gift to his neice was an uniform molded after his, along with the mantle of Statesgirl.

Now, Fighting along her fellow ICONS, and the Surviving 8, Statesgirl flies wherever trouble is, and quickly dispatches the threat with extreme force.
