After living in Paragon City for over a year, Doctor Leo had achieved Security Level 50, obtained new powers such as the ability to blast fire from his hands, and made several friends, joined a Supergroup, and saved the city time and time again. But, most important to him, he had fallen in love with a civilian, and he could finally dream and hope for a good future in his life.

Then it all fell apart again. He found out that the love of his life, the girl he had been putting all his hopes and dreams on, simply couldn't come to terms with his double life. Unable to choose between her and helping protect countless innocents, he was devastated when he found out his girl was cheating on him... and when she attempted to give him the old "let's be friends" speech, he went insane.

His healing powers mutated with his fire powers, as he tried to burn and melt his old love and her new boyfriend. Paragon Police received reports of massive superpowered destruction happening, as Leo burned and destroyed their apartment and then the entire building. They ran, and he chased them. Several heroes arrived to the scene and only with the combined powers of an entire superteam they managed to overpower his rage defeat him... and Paragon City, not knowing what to do with a hero that had completely snapped, threw him in the Zig.

Alone in his cell, his anger consumed him. And while he could still remember all the good that was in him, he also remembered how that good led to his fall. Things like trust and friendship were cast aside. He sealed away many memories in his mind, and in doing so, lost his illusion powers. But the fire and the rage burned within him, and when Arachnos attacked Brickstown and caused a mass breakout, he wiped every prisoner that stood on his way to the Arachnos Flyer that could take him to Mercy Island.

Revenge is a powerful force. And under the new alias Fallen Leo, he started looking for it. Revenge against the city that had tossed him into jail like a common criminal. Revenge against the heroes who attacked him. Revenge against anything and anyone that opposed him.

If the world couldn't understand a hero... he'd give them a villain.
