The Manual That Should Have Come With The Game
Like most MMOs, City of Heroes comes with a minimal manual. While normal progression through the game gradually reveals tutorials and a breadcrumb trail through the content and what you "should" know at any given level, it's easy to miss that normal progression in a variety of ways, including fast leveling, always playing in teams, and returning to the game after a long absence (thus missing all the changes that occurred while you were away.) While excellent, in-depth guides exist within Paragon Wiki, most of those articles contain too much information for the casual player who needs to know just enough to understand what's going on around him.
This guide aims to be the manual that should have come with the game -- a concise guide to City of Heroes, for everyone.
The title "City of Heroes" will be used to refer to both City of Heroes and City of Villains. Differences between the two will be denoted as "blueside" (heroes) and "redside" (villains). Generic player characters are referred to as "toons".
