Mission holder almost always still gets the badge
The mission holder will almost always get the badge regardless of success or failure without having to resort to petitioning. I have succeeded this mission only once (and that was on test), but all my characters who have done it still have the badge. While the badge isn't instantly awarded upon leaving the mission, after traveling to another zone it will appear in the badge menu, often without the "Badge Awarded" text popping up. -- StarGeekTalk page 11:47, 3 November 2006 (PST)
Possibly fixed
I just did this mission and it may have some fixes in it. In the past, when I've done this mission, the equipment was always blue to me at even level. I just ran the mission and it was white to me (though I can't remember if it was even level or -1 level. My demo shows that it had 1480 hps, which seems pretty good. My last running of the mission a couple months ago ended in failure in about 90 seconds, without even seeing one of the machines. -- StarGeekTalk page 14:49, 13 December 2006 (PST)

I just completed this mission, solo, with my Level 31 Defender. I didn't have any problems.
