Mission:Those Who Make History - Part Three: Loose Ends
Part Three: Loose Ends
Briefing
Our allies in the Syndicate have been most helpful to our cause. Unfortunately for them, I know how the Syndicate operates. Now that we have the location of the bomb, they will try to take the bomb for themselves. It is unfortunate, but it is the nature of their dealings. Kirchmer, I know, will betray me. It will not be the first time a former student of mine has betrayed me, nor will it be the first time that I will have to kill a former student of mine. Such is the life that good men are forced to live in these times.
It is a dirty business, Character, but I must ask you to eliminate those members of the Syndicate who we once called allies, along with their contact, a man named Vincent Soto.
- They'll have to be taken down if they intend to betray us first, right?
Right.
I believe they move now through the tunnels, of all places. I have it on good authority that they bring with them proximity bombs. They intend to use them to blow up our main route in and out of the tunnels. An interesting notion, but they believed they were dealing with a fool. I strongly prescribe to the notion that those who do not know history will be doomed to repeat it. I know quite well how all historical dealings with organizations such as the Syndicate have gone, and I will not see us fail because of their greed.
Unnecessary Solicitation
Do not spare any expense on them, Character.

Debriefing
Excellent work, Character. That was the last loose end that we have. We can move forward now with our plan of attack to retrieve the bomb.
Kirchmer was the second student I've had killed. The first was a PPD officer, a man named Stewart Tones. I knew him very well, he was one of my most intelligent students. I did not want to kill him, Character, but it was either him, or me. I pleaded with the boy to walk away, but he insisted he was 'serving the good of Praetoria'. After all I taught him, he still had that naive, ignorant view. I shot him in the head before he could shoot me. I truly believe that on that day, whoever I once was died.
I apologize for going on at length about this, Character, but I feel someone must know of my past, of my history. I do not intend to live through this plan; I cannot die without at least one person learning from what I've gone through.
