Welcome!

Hello, Draeth Darkstar, and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of Userboxes you can easily add there. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.

Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the forum. It will require a separate registration (login and password), but most users use the same username in both places. There's even an RSS Feed, if you're into that.

If you need help, ask me on my talk page or ask on the forums and someone will try to to answer your questions shortly.

Also, make sure you take a look at the Help page. There are a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info templates, and what you want to add might already be there.

Again, welcome! -- Eabrace 00:31, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks a lot! I'm not a super duper active player at the moment (real life is busy) but I am a little bit obsessive compulsive, so when I use the Wiki and see something that could use some fleshing out I will do my best! Draeth Darkstar 08:27, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

RE: Mastermind henchman WIP

Thanks for the link. I'll have to look those images over to see if they'll work for what I have in mind. I'm also working on getting the demo info for the henchmen so that I can eventually create some images like GuyPerfect created for the bots where it's just a blank backdrop.

The table with my characters is pulled onto my page from here. It's been a slowly evolving little project of mine to play with that. Originally, it was all pure HTML - functional, but not that easy to maintain. Eventually I converted as much of the table as I could to wiki markup, but at the time there still wasn't a way to get images to link to anything but the image's own page, so there was still a significant amount of HTML in there. Recently MediaWiki added the ability to specify a link when you include an image, and incorporating that into the table gave me what you now see. I'm thinking my next step might be to see if I can compress each table into a series of simple calls to about 3 or 4 templates to make it easy for others to use if they want. For now though, most of it's just by hand. If you'd like some help setting up something similar, I'd be happy to give you a hand. --Eabrace 16:20, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Edit Spam

Instead of hitting "save", you can hit "preview", and it'll show you what your edits will look like, and then it has an edit field at the bottom for further tweaking. This way you don't spam Recent Changes with tons and tons of tiny edits, completely overwhelming other edits. :) -- Agge (talk) 17:33, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm really sorry about that. I have a pretty nasty tendency to iterate over my work a lot, I can be pretty obsessive over small things that I don't notice at first, but I will try to do better. I hope the basis for the power customization article was still decent for you to build on, anyway. Draeth Darkstar 21:16, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Contributions

You do know that you can visit your contributions page and see all the edits you made, instead of manually placing them in your profile page, right? You don't have to manually create a log, the wiki does it for you. ~ AGGE talk/cons 21:28, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Yep, but the contributions page tracks every change, while on my user page I only track changes with some significance of size or meaning. It's easier for me to get back to the pages that I may want to revise further or check the talk pages of. The contributions page is a little difficult to sift through. Re: Animated Images

I don't know what the issue is, but every time I try to run your AS demo, I get nothing. Or, more accurately, nothing useful. I load Port Oakes, located near the Arena. The camera spins around a bit, and then the demo player freezes up and crashes.

Have you made any modifications to the file you posted on Animation Customization/Demo Recording? If so, do you have the original?  FW (talk · contrib 07:13, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

I am using Zloth's launcher to view them, but that's not really the source of the issue, since Zloth's launcher just supplies the command-line options to the City of Heroes executable. I only tried the first of the two demos, as I have other stuff going on (exams! D:). I don't really know what the issue would be if we're both rnning the same demo and getting different results.
