Overview

Secure Base Plots range in size from the smallest grid of 12x16 units to the largest 24x28 grid. Secure locations can have backup control and energy sources, as well as more backup batteries. These can allow for more Energy, Control, and Battery Base Items to be placed within the Base than allowed by Hidden Base Plots.

Secure Base Plots have a greater cost than Hidden Base Plots. This greater Prestige cost ranges from the smallest Secure Base Plot requiring 240% Prestige of an equal-sized Hidden Base Plot to over five times the cost of the largest of the Hidden Base Plots for an equal-sized Secure Base Plot.

Types

Base Plot Type Size Cost Cost/Sq Rent Rent/Sq Rent/Cost Description
Small Secure Location 12×16 11 250 000 58 594 200 000 1 042 1.78% This is a medium secure base plot. Secure locations can have backup control and energy sources, as well as more backup batteries.
Secure Location 16×16 20 000 000 78 125 420 000 1 641 2.10% This is a medium secure base plot. Secure locations can have backup control and energy sources, as well as more backup batteries.
Large Secure Location 16×20 31 250 000 97 656 750 000 2 344 2.40% This is a medium secure base plot. Secure locations can have backup control and energy sources, as well as more backup batteries.
Small Secure Complex 20×20 48 828 125 122 070 1 300 000 3 250 2.66% This is a medium secure base plot. Secure locations can have backup control and energy sources, as well as more backup batteries.
Secure Complex 20×24 70 312 500 146 484 2 100 000 4 375 2.99% This is a large secure base plot. Secure locations can have backup control and energy sources, as well as more backup batteries.
Large Secure Complex 24×24 101 250 000 175 781 3 200 000 5 556 3.16% This is a large secure base plot. Secure locations can have backup control and energy sources, as well as more backup batteries.
Massive Secure Complex 24×28 137 812 500 205 078 5 000 000 7 440 3.63% This is the largest secure plot available for a base. Secure locations can have backup control and energy sources, as well as more backup batteries.
Cost/Sq
Cost per square of area.
Rent/Sq
Rent per square of area.
Rent/Cost
Rent as a percentage of plot cost.

Note that you're doing good if, with the smaller plots, the number of squares used for rooms is at least half the total number of squares, due to unusable space between rooms.

Limitations

All Secure Bases have the following maximum item limits:

Item Type Limit
Control 2
Dimensional Anchor 6
Energy 2
Entrance 1
Workshop 6

Additionally, the maximum number of Batteries depends on the plot size:

Base Plot Type Batteries
Small Secure Location 3
Secure Location 3
Large Secure Location 4
Small Secure Complex 4
Secure Complex 5
Large Secure Complex 5
Massive Secure Complex 6
