Drea the Hook made his living as a crab fisherman, until his boat, and everyone else on it, went down in the icy waters off the coast of Alaska.  Since that day, Drea can't seem to shake his fear of the sea.  He doesn't have much compunction about the deals he brokers for villains in Port Oakes, though he knows that innocents often pay the price.  Drea's just looking to put away a chunk of change that'll buy him a cozy retirement in a nice, landlocked community.  His dedication to that dream makes him a reliable source of information.

My name's Drea. That's all you need to know. The less we know about each other, the better for both of us, dig? You do your own thing out there, and if I get a tip on something big going down--like a bank heist in Paragon City--I'll put a coded message in the Rogue Isle Protector. Just make sure to check out the newspaper from time to time. If you pull one of these Paragon City jobs, then I can introduce you to contacts who have more jobs for you. You should be on the lookout for Contacts as well. Some guys have jobs for you and the only prerequisite is that you have previously proved yourself by earning a badge or something.

Drea the Hook is a villain contact in Port Oakes at coordinates (-2830, 60, 1290). He is the contact who gives you a copy of the Rogue Isle Protector, a newspaper which you can use to get schemes.

Drea will give you a heist mission for every three schemes you complete from the Rogue Isle Protector. He has up to three new contacts available.

Introductions

Contact Introduced By

Note that you do not have to be introduced to Drea the Hook in order to start accepting missions from him. Therefore, you are not required to finish Mongoose or Doctor Creed's missions to progress in the game. Upon entering Port Oakes for the first time, characters are randomly assigned either Drea the Hook or Mikey the Ear; the broker assigned to you will appear on your minimap.

Contact Introduces

Multiple contact options
Couple people I know want to meet you.
Single contact option
I've got someone I'd like you to meet.

Level 5-10

Have you met Mr. Bocor yet? Almost everyone on Port Oakes knows him, or at least knows of him. According to rumor, he's an immensely powerful Vodoun sorcerer. I'd stay on his good side, if I were you. Mr. Bocor can be a powerful ally.

Mr. Bocor may not seem like a threat. But there's more to him than meets the eye.

Angelo Vendetti is a man with a very dangerous family grudge. Rumors say his family were ousted from the Italian crime families when the Council came to power, after being deceived into helping them by the Center, the Council's mysterious leader. Arachnos and the Council have a long history of hostility, so the local authorities look the other way when Vendetti recruits people for his personal war.

Vendetti's the kind of guy who's too driven to cheat you. But keep an eye out. He could get you into a lot of trouble.

There's someone you might want to meet. His name is Billie Heck, and word is that he does some work for the Family from time to time.

Billie comes off as a bit of a weasel, but he might have some work for you if you need it.

Level 10-15

They say that there's a strange radio here in Port Oakes. According to rumors, sometimes a mysterious voice will speak through it, talking about great opportunities for those in the know.

I know it sounds weird, but the rumors say that those who listen to what that Radio have to say can find great rewards.

Information

Broker

Drea the Hook made his living as a crab fisherman, until his boat, and everyone else on it, went down in the icy waters off the coast of Alaska. Since that day, Drea can't seem to shake his fear of the sea. He doesn't have much compunction about the deals he brokers for villains in Port Oakes, though he knows that innocents often pay the price. Drea's just looking to put away a chunk of change that'll buy him a cozy retirement in a nice, landlocked community. His dedication to that dream makes him a reliable source of information.

Wrong Broker

I don't know you from Adam, bub. Maybe you want Mikey the Ear.

Too Low Level

I know some things, but they're big. Too big for anyone below Threat Level 5.

Introduction

My name's Drea. That's all you need to know. The less we know about each other, the better for both of us, dig? You do your own thing out there, and if I get a tip on something big going down--like a bank heist in Paragon City--I'll put a coded message in the Rogue Isle Protector. Just make sure to check out the newspaper from time to time. If you pull one of these Paragon City jobs, then I can introduce you to contacts who have more jobs for you. You should be on the lookout for Contacts as well. Some guys have jobs for you and the only prerequisite is that you have previously proved yourself by earning a badge or something.

Performing a set number of Newspaper missions will get you a Mayhem Mission, where you rob a bank in Paragon City. After that you will earn a contact in this zone if any are available in your level range. In addition, there are some contacts (NPCS with yellow rings around their feet) that simply require you have a particular badge before they will issue their missions to you. Click on any NPC you see with a yellow ring to see if they have any jobs for you to do.

Greeting

Now that you've been introduced to your Broker, you can start scanning the Rogue Isles Protector, the local newspaper, for things going on in your current zone. You can then act on one of your 'Schemes' by selecting it from the newspaper, listed under your Contacts.

After every 3 successful Schemes, your Broker will tip you off to Heists and other special missions, then introduce you to new Contacts with stories and missions of their own.

I ain't got anything for you right now, but check back after you pull off a couple more of your own capers.

Too Busy

I see you're too busy for me right now. Lemme know when you've freed up some of your own schemes.

No More Missions

I got nothing more that would interest you, Character.

Missions

Rob Atlas Park bank

While looking for today's headlines, you see Contact has planted a secret message just for you. It says to stop by for a tip on a really big job.

Briefing

Ready to cause some mayhem in Paragon City? Go to Atlas Park and hit one of the banks there. Once you hit Atlas you'll have 15 minutes to rob the bank and escape.

This is a Mayhem Mission. You can earn extra time by destroying property and creating diversions away from the bank itself.

Each type of item rewards a single time bonus after you destroy a certain ammount of that item. For each person on your team, you will need to destroy more of that particular item to get the time bonus.

One random side missions can be found on this map. Keys (found by defeating certain enemies) are needed to unlock these side missions. Each completed side mission also rewards a time bonus.

Every character that is at least level 5 receives a special temporary power the first time they successfully complete this mission.

Mission Acceptance

Expect some resistance from Longbow. They've been monitoring the activities of villains in the Rogue Isles for quite some time.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Go cause some mayhem!

Mission Objective(s)

Excellent work! You have spread mayhem in Atlas Park

You've struck at Atlas Park, the very heart of Paragon City, proving nowhere is safe from villainy!

Temporary Power

Upon successful completion of this mission for the first time, a villain over level 5 will earn the Raptor Pack temporary power.

Temporary Mayhem SelfFlight.png Raptor Pack Toggle: Self fly
This backpack grants any person the ability to fly for a short period. If you attack a target while this pack is on, your flight speed will be temporarily reduced to Hover speed. You have this power for a total of 2 hours usage time. You can only carry 1 Raptor Pack at a time.

Debriefing

Excellent work, Character! You have spread mayhem in Atlas Park!

Debriefing (failure)

Not the best showing Character, I guess Paragon City is a little too much for you.

Removed missions

Mook robbery

Briefing

Ok: listen up and listen good. There's something going down at the local branch of the 22nd National, and I think you and I can take advantage. The Mooks are staging a robbery there, and it's going to be a big one. I think if you head over there, you can take advantage of the chaos and walk out with the cash, while letting the Mooks take the blame. What do you think?

Mission Acceptance

If I were you, I'd make sure there weren't any Mooks left to go running back to Verandi. Up to you, though.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Take advantage of Mook robbery

Enemies

V badge Mook.png Mooks

Icon clue generic.png
Loot
You walked away with plenty of cash, and left the Mooks to take the blame.

Debriefing

Looks like our plan worked out perfectly. You and I are a little bit richer, and Longbow's after the Mooks, not us. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Couple people I know want to meet you.

Steal Gems from Larry's Tiki Lounge

Briefing

You've done some good work for me, and I think you deserve a shot at something special. I happen to know that a high roller recently arrived at Larry's Tiki Lounge, and she asked for the house to hold onto her valuables. Ergo, there's a safe in there with some serious gems. Want to grab 'em?

Mission Acceptance

Lady Luck is fixing to smile on the both of us.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Grab the Gems

Icon clue generic.png
The high roller's gems
A lady ought to know better to trust Larry to care for her valuables. You've made off with a number of rings, a ruby brooch, and a diamond necklace worth at least a hundred grand.
