Defense

Defense to a power makes it less likely to hit its target(s) but does not reduce its potency. There are two basic types of defense:

  • Typed defense, which provides defense against powers that cause specific types of damage (lethal, fire, etc.)
  • Positional defense, which provides defense against powers based on whether they are melee, ranged, or area of effect.

If power does not hit, then none of its effects apply (such as damage or status effects).
