Borea
Just a few quick examples that attempt to match random talking with from Borea.
An old threat has reemerged, Character.
Nemesis is up to something; he is pouring his forces into the area. Take them out before he can enact his nefarious plan. Are you up for facing his forces? ---------- OR ----------
You joined Vanguard to fight the Rikti, right? Well, now is your chance to do just that. |

Character, good to see you're deciding to come along quietly. Just wait here and we'll have our boys from S.A.M. down here in just a moment to arrest you. I'm surprised, however, that you opted to- |
In response to:
Hold on, arrest me?
Don't be coy, Character. All those people you killed in Arizona? What about over near the Great Lakes? You've done too many horrific things to just be let off the hook. What I still don't get is, why Paragon? You've been using the city to cover up your schemes around the country, making people focus on the good you do here, while you go out and commit all these crimes everywhere else. But now, you've got the gall to try to do these things in this city? Do you think you can get away with it? |
In response to:
I haven't -done- anything. You've got the wrong person.
Agent Nance's phone rings. You see the caller is 'JENNI ADAIR' on his phone. He steps away from you to whisper into the phone, his eyes beneath his glasses keeping a close watch on you. After a few moments, he hangs up the phone, his mouth twitching in irritation. So, you say you haven't done anything I just mentioned? I don't believe you, but one of my superiors does. She wants me to request your help in this investigation, regarding the other you. Or so she says. |
I suppose it can't hurt. I'm either telling you information you already know, or revealing the truth to you. Just so you know, I doubt it's the latter. My superior may believe you, but it's only because she wants to prove one of her theories. We've had reports that you have been spreading chaos in various parts of the United States. When you haven't been attacking parts of the nation, you've been here, 'saving the day' as it were. We haven't received any reports of both events happening at the same time, but now you're here, talking with me. While my superior says you're also at the Faultline Dam. |
In response to:
Try to arrest me, I dare you.
Not surprised, Character. I figured you wouldn't come quietly. I've got agents that I can call to swarm this area within five minutes. Do you really want to cause a scene here, in this part of Talos? Or did you come talk to me precisely to do that? |
In response to:
Call the agents, I'm ready for a fight.

After a few moments, he hangs up the phone, his mouth twitching in irritation. ..... I've been told to back down, Character. But don't think I'm going to forget what almost happened here. My superiors tell me that we've got movement by you in Faultline. And I've been told to 'request' your aid in the investigation. |
In response to:
Tell me what's going on, and maybe I'll help. Maybe.

Speak with Agent G
Compare with text found at Field Agent Keith Nance#Part Two: Just a Misunderstanding.
Character? I've got some questions for you...
First you storm into the Dam and take it over, then I see you go into an Arachnos base, and now you're here? What do you want? |
In response to:
The me that attacked the dam wasn't me.
...what? What are you talking about? |
An evil you? Hrm...our files didn't have anything on that... So you're saying the you that I saw before wasn't you, but another you? If that's the case, however, how do I know that you aren't the evil you doubling back? |
In response to:
You have to trust me, Agent G. I'm not the evil me.
You'll have to forgive me if I'm a bit wary, Character. We've been getting...odd reports lately regarding activity that you've been participating in. Arson...random violence...they didn't seem to match your usual actions here in Paragon, but we've begun to get a bit...suspicious. |
In response to:
Look, Agent G, it's NOT me. You need to believe me on this.
Alright, Character. I just hope you can explain all this once it's over. |
In response to:
No time to explain, where exactly did you see me go? · I don't have time to explain, where exactly did you see me go? · No time to explain, where exactly did you see me go? · I REALLY don't have time to explain! Where did you see me go?! · Finally! Now, where exactly did you see me go?
You went into one of the Arachnos bases perched behind the Dam. It looked like there were some Arachnos following you in there as well. |

Take on the Hellions and show them they aren't welcome
Briefing
Myself and others here at the Modern Arcane Guild of Investigation have sensed a disturbing trend. The Hellions are making rapid headway in their bid to take over Atlas Park. These Hellions are thugs who have discovered some source of dark mystic powers, and use them to enforce a brutal reign of terror on the streets. I need you to take on the Hellions and show them they aren't welcome. |
Mission Acceptance
These Hellions are playing with powers they do not understand, and care little for who gets hurt. I would recommend you begin first by battling them on the streets of the city. Defeat 5 of their number to introduce yourself to them. |
Repel Hellions from Atlas Park
Unnecessary Solicitation
Please attend to the Hellions. |
Mission Objective(s)
- Repel Hellions from Atlas Park
- Defeat 5 Hellions
You found a crumpled note on one of the defeated Hellions.
Crumpled note | |
The note reads:
'Another new hero has arrived on the scene. This Character could become a serious problem, and might disrupt the unloading of the latest artifact. We need to meet and discuss potential solutions.' There is also a time and place on the note. |
Bust gang leader and his crew
Unnecessary Solicitation
It does not surprise me that they know of you already, Character. Your name is writ large in the book of fate. |
Mission Objective(s)
This isn't the usual aroma of gun polish and grease. There's a musty odor in this room, the smell of something ancient.
- Bust gang leader and his crew
You found an ancient statue on one of the defeated Hellions.
Clay statue | |
This small clay statue of a man is chipped in a dozen places. It looks as though it could easily be thousands of years old. |
Debriefing
I am glad to see you have taken the initiative in this matter. It is no surprise that the Hellions already consider you a threat, Character.
This figure you found is an ushabti! Such statues were buried with the Egyptian dead; it was believed that they would perform their master's work in the afterlife. The Egyptians were no strangers to magic, and some of these ushabtis are invested with great power. I don't understand where the Hellions would get such an item. This will bear further investigation. |
