Invention System
This article is a stub. You can help the Paragon Wiki by expanding it.
Overview
Planned for release with Issue 9, players will use the Invention System to craft Enhancements, costume pieces, temporary powers, inspirations and other items for their characters using recipes and new invention salvage dropped by defeated foes.
Game developers stated that the long-rumored "Legacy System", which would allow for additional improvements of level 50 characters, has evolved/been wrapped up into the Invention System. [1]
The University
The Steel Canyon campus of the University is the place where heroes learn to use the Invention System. Players can take a series of tutorial missions to learn about the system; the first contact is Admissions Officer Lenk.
All campuses (Steel Canyon, Croatoa and Founders' Falls) also hold many Invention Worktables at which inventions may be created.
Inventing in General
Inventions are created by combining salvage, influence/infamy and a recipe at a worktable.
There are currently four types of inventions:

- Dragon Wings
- Burned Wings

- Fairy Wings
- Rocket Boots (animate while Flying)

Temporary Powers
Main article: Invention Temporary Powers
There are a small number of temporary powers craftable with the inventions system.
Badges
From early developer comments about the Invention System, it was revealed that the system would allow for the crafting of any type of reward in the game, including crafting of badges. No badges are directly crafted in the initial implementation of the system, however. A large number of badges are, however, linked to the system, as seen below.
