User talk:Baalus Seth
Welcome!
Hello, Baalus Seth, and welcome to the Paragon Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Feel free to fill out your personal user page so we can get to know you. There is a collection of Userboxes you can easily add there. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
Don't forget to drop by and introduce yourself in the Forum, which will use the same name/password that you used when you signed up with the wiki. If you ever feel the need to change your password, you will need to do so there instead of here in the wiki. And there's even a RSS Feed, if you're into that.
Also, make sure you take a look at the Help page. There is a lot of preloaded images, missions, and contact info, and what you want to add might already be there.
Again, welcome!
Just noticed we didn't get this onto your page, better late than never. -- StarGeekTalk page 03:13, 27 September 2006 (PDT)
Image needed anymore?
Hi Baalus,
Is this image needed anymore or shall I delete it? -- StarGeekTalk page 18:16, 10 October 2006 (PDT)
Discussion
Good evening.
Just logged into the Wiki, and I have noticed a couple of your comments I'd like to discuss, if you don't mind:
This is the first one:
"(→Wolf Spider Enforcer - - The difference between Wolf Spiders and Enforcers is that the former have lighter guns but the latter have only 1 melee attack.)"
I had prepared a long explaination about the way the mobs are studied and the attacks added (at least mine), since I am the person who added the attacks to the Wolf Spiders (and to most of Arachnos as well). Since I just saw you have added again the Pummel attack that had been deleted, this is solved, and the long paragraph, deleted. I have uploaded an screenshot of the attack in question just to remove any doubts:
- Okay, I must confess here. The testing I did was against lvl ~18ish mobs, whe ni was tdoing the ultiamte act of boredome and had my MM brawl even-con minions to death.
Just a note here, please:
In the case of mobs that gain attacks with levels, just add a note about the level they gain it with to those attacks, rater than adding a new mob entrance. I'm saying this to avoid confussion, as most of the mobs of CoV work this way: a simple Wolf Spider Huntsman or Tarantula Queen would require a lot of entrances, one for each new attack!
- Yeah I noticed that one on the Huntsman (when I noticed: Venom Grenade? WTF?), but didn't think of it in time. I am however pretty sure I saw it made that way before- ah yes, the Goldbrickers articl-
- ...
- ...remind me to smack myself before I ever base myself off that article again.
For an example, I think the Ancestor Spirit of the Tsoo and the Marcone Capo of the Family have notes near the attack they gain at certain levels.
In the case of mobs that lose one attack to gain a more powerful new one, that I consider a new mob. You have an example of this in the Goldbrickers, where there are two Rocketmans: one uses Brawl, but the second does not have Brawl and has Rifle Butt instead. He loses one to gain another.
- ...me acting hasty again. Thanks lots for the explanation :)
If you have any doubts about any other attacks, please tell me. Please take into account the levels of the new gained attacks haven t been added yet. It should already be done by now, that I know...but the day has only 24 hours, so...
And the second comment is:
"(→Named Bosses - - That's BS and you know it)"
This is referred to the Named Bosses of the Trolls section.
Well, I did that section as well. I don't understand your note, and I'd be grateful if you could clarify it. Is there something you dislike? Is there any problem with that section? Found any errors? Please tell me what is it and I'll be glad to help.
- Actually yes. The comment stated basically "Their descriptions are the same so there's no way to differentiate Caliban from Ogre." That is the part I consider BS, as oen can simply see what attacks they use.
- Baalus Seth, I do highly suggest that you refrain from comments like that. There is no reason to be combative here. Please be polite and courteous. --StarGeek 15:43, 16 September 2006 (PDT)
- Noted and rememebred. That Troll comment was something of a sore spot. Won't happen again. <.<
A petition:
Now, as the person who has added no few of the mobs and attacks to the Enemies section, after seeing (and suffering!) them in-game, I humbly beg you if you could first ask before deleting attacks, powers, mobs or named bosses added in such section. I am asking because I have checked them all, in a case-by-case basis, and I am positively sure I can bring whatever proofs are needed to prove the existence of, if not all of them, most.
- My apologies. I have neither explanation nor excuse for my hastiness.
Finally:
Please be welcome to the Paragon Wiki, and I'd like to thank you for your contributions. I hope you will enjoy the site, and please feel free to contribute in any way you like =).
(Hmmm...that sounds sad. There has to have a Welcome message somewhere, but it's usually StarGeek or Snori who do this part...=P)
Yak
- Thanks for the welcome, and much apologies again. I'll try to contribute more... intelligenntly in the future. :)
