Good Versus Evil Edition

The Good Versus Evil Edition is a combined release of City of Heroes and City of Villains. It was initially released on September 29, 2006 as a Walmart USA exclusive item. Walmart Canada did not carry the title. It was later re-released in January 2007 through more game retailers. Additionally, a separate activation code was made available through NCsoft at a lower cost ($9.99) that provides existing players with the edition's in-game items.
Both the retail version and the online activation version confer the following exclusive benefits:
- Jump Pack Power (exclusive to GVE)
- Pocket D VIP Gold Club Member Badge (exclusive to GVE)
- Pocket D VIP Pass Teleport Power (exclusive to GVE)
- Additional Hero and Villain Costume pieces (exclusive to GVE)
- Access to both City of Heroes and City of Villains
- A free month of play time
The retail version additionally includes:
- An installation DVD for City of Heroes and City of Villains current to Issue 7
- A two-sided Paragon City/Rogue Isles map (exclusive to GVE)
- Issues 1-6 of Top Cow's City of Heroes comics (PDF)
- Collectible game activation card (Front, Back)
