Overview
The Nemesis Plot Invasion Event was an invasion event (similar to the Rikti Invasions) done to commemorate the Eighth Anniversary of City of Heroes' release.
Zone Event
When Nemesis invades a particular zone, the following text appears in the Hero Zone Event or Villain Zone Event Channels:
Prior to the invasion, one of:
- [Nemesis] Hear me, for I am Lord Nemesis! Flee the vicinity of ZONE, for I shall conquer it forthwith!
- [Nemesis] The Prussian Prince of Automatons marches on ZONE next!
As the invasion starts, one of:
- [Nemesis] Lord Nemesis demands the immediate surrender of ZONE! Take shelter if you value your lives!
- [Nemesis] Citizens of ZONE! Surrender to Nemesis or be annihilated!
As the Giant Monster version of Nemesis spawns, one of:
- [Nemesis] I shall make an example of ZONE. Prepare yourselves!
- [Nemesis] Imbeciles! I shall pacify ZONE myself!
Once the Giant Monster version of Nemesis is defeated, one of:
- [Nemesis] Did you in ZONE really think you could best Nemesis? Then you are easily deceived.
- [Nemesis] Mwahah! You fools in ZONE have only defeated one of my robotic duplicates! Lord Nemesis shall prevail!
When the invasion ends, one of:
- [Nemesis] Do not feel at ease, VILLAIN ZONE, as Nemesis shall return!
- [Nemesis] Lord Nemesis does not retreat for long! I shall soon return to HERO ZONE with my full strength!
The foes encountered in this event scale to the character's combat level, but drop recipes as if they were level 50. Salvage does not drop from these enemies. 100% debt protection applies for the duration of the event. A minimum of 10 characters participating in the event is required to spawn the GM. Characters may avoid Nemesis teleporting near them by blocking line-of-sight from above, for example by going beneath an overhang or into a tunnel.
Badge
The following badge is awarded when the Giant Monster version of Nemesis is defeated in a zone that he has invaded.
A Nemesis Plot You've tangled with Nemesis himself (at least, you think so...) during the Nemesis Plot event. |
Fallen Thunder
In order to add some flavor to this event, a short narrative was posted to the official forums and official website describing Nemesis's actions just prior to the invasion.
