Champions of Arachnos VG was created by Lady Arachnida on 26 September 2008

Overview

The Champions of Arachnos was developed by the villainous Arachnos organization to provide a home for the true 'destined' ones who had reached security level 50. Arachnos would transfer level 50s from the 'Knights of Arachnos' and Legionnaires from the 'Legion of Arachnos' to form an elite, powerful core of champions.

Background

The Champions of Arachnos was created by the leader of the Knights of Arachnos leader, Lord Arachnid. In an attempt to strengthen his breadth of power, he established a powerful organization, authorized by Lord Recluse (who didn't have much of a choice, due to the outcry for the 'destined ones' to form to be ready for the predicated "Coming Storm"). Lord Recluse's Elite Bosses and Bosses were wary of putting that much power in one group, but Lord Recluse, in his thirst for power, believes he can control them.

The heroes of Paragon, lead by Longbow, and several powerful hero groups, including Statesman, attacked and decimated the Champions of Arachnos and their base in July of 2008. Only three survivors got away without being captured or killed . . . Lady Arachnida almost didn't become one of the three.

Months later, Lady Arachnida, residing in the medical bay of the Legion of Arachnos HQ, reformulated a plan to bring back the Champions. On September 26th, 2008, she restarted the 2nd formation of the Champions of Arachnos, with one key goal - destroy the heroes of Paragon City! Vengence fueled, she has since started rebuilding the Champions HQ,

Soon, the Champions VG will indeed be powerful; more powerful than Lord Recluse might be able to handle....

Members

Lady Arachnida

Lady Arachnida is an enigma wrapped in mystery.

She is a cyborg packed with the most deadly skills of a stalker, as well as the leadership skills required to run teams, as well as her own VG.

It is rumored that she is the reanimated body of the wife of Lord Arachnid, leader of the Knights of Arachnos VG. It was said he lost his wife to the 1st Ritki Invasion, and that he swore she would never die.

Lord Arachnid is said to have 'built' this cyborg, and has a special place in his heart for it/her.

Gold Huntsman

Within mere seconds after his graduation ceremony in Fort Darwin to the rank of Huntsman, the Rikti attacked, wiping out his entire graduating class, except him.

In a spectacular feat of leadership, rage, and adrenaline, he took out nearly 40 Rikti in the first attack wave, and by the end of the day was over 300.

Battered, beaten, bleeding and with his weapon cracked in two, the leader of the vaunted 'Champions of Arachnos' VG, Lady Arachnida, invited him to her prestigious group of champions.

Decked out in gold armor, he became the Gold Huntsman; champion of the Arachnos Huntsmen.

Bronze Widow

A teenager who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics, representing the Rogue Isles, she won several bronze medals in various Track & Field events.

Hailed as the "Bronze Girl" of the Isles, after her plane landed in Cap Au Diable and the ensuing press conference, she was taken before Lord Recluse himself. He gave her family a choice: submit her to his Arachnos Training Program, or get moved to Bloody Bay. They chose the former.

Months later, she graduated at the top of her class, nicknamed the "Bronze Widow". In a dramatic raid on Ghost Widow's Tower during the graduation ceremony, a team of wanna-be heroes attacked, ascending several levels rapidly, leaving only Bronze and a couple of troopers to stop them. Using her incredible skills, she stopped all of the 'heroes' all by herself.

Lady Arachnida, leader of the famed Champions of Arachnos VG, invted her to join the VG, and since then has become the Beautiful . . . Bronze Widow!

General Gruff

Gruff was first noticed by Lord Recluse after he managed to defeat countless heroes at Bloody Bay.

Lord Recluse immediately recruited Gruff. Although Gruff started out low, he easily climbed up the ranks of Arachnos through ruthless deeds and countless victories.

Lord Recluse later allowed him to be in charge of the Crab Spiders, but was displeased after Gruff abused this power by using this army to annihilate all surrounding forces, thus earning Arachnos more enemies. Gruff was immediately kicked out of Arachnos, but that didn't stop him from continuing his devastating streak.

A few months later, General Gruff was approached by the leader of the Champions of Arachnos, Lady Arachnida. He had created a reputation for himself by his acts of merciless cruelty. The General agreed to join the ranks of the Champions of Arachnos and to this very day, his reign of terror continues on.

Arachnotron

A decorated Arachnos Marshal-turned-cyborg who sacrificed his life to save Lord Arachnid from an exploding 'UXB' Ritki bomb. Lord Arachid, leader of the Knights of Arachnos VG, chose to help the Marshal.

As the marshal's body failed, Lord Arachnid authorized the transfer of the soldier's mind into a cyborg body that was being built experimentally. The transfer was a success, but, to the Marshal's wife and children, he was dead.

Tortured with the knowledge he'd never be able to see them again in his cyborg body, he instead chose to continue to server Lord Arachnid by helping the elite Arachnos VG, the Champions of Arachnos.

Today, he continues his quest with the Champions., however, the thoughts of a normal life and the loss of his family shall continue to plague him . . .

Silver Fortunata

On her classes first assignment to take out the Snake population in Mercy Isle, they went down into a snake hole only to find a huge nest of enormous snake eggs.

Within minutes, snake hatchlings popped up all over; hundreds of them. As her fellow Widows and Fortunatas tried to fight for mere survival, one of her best friends since grade school died before her eyes. In a blaze of rage, hate and adenaline, she decimated every remaining snake in the nest.

Standing atop a pile of dead snakes, backup finally arrived, with Silver as one of two survivors; the 2nd woman died shortly after recounting to Arachnos techs about Silver's amazing battle.

Within days, the leader of the vaunted VG, the Champions of Arachnos, invited her to join their ranks as the elite . . . Silver Fortunata!

Tsoo Mee

A young Asian-Rogue Islander, brought up in traditional Asian lifestyle soon got her life turned upside down when Longbow and heroes started battling in their neighborhood.

There house was destroyed, the father crippled, the mother, catatonic. When she tried to plead for help, her response by the administrators in Grandville was 'find a way to stop Longbow from doing what they want here in the Rogue Isles'.

She went to her uncle, who had been with the powerful Tsoo clan for decades.

He taught her martial arts, while at the same time, pushed her to get a degree in International Law.

Banding with others in similar situations, she formed a Tsoo alliance and was recruited by the Champions of Arachnos to help 'fund' their exploits - unofficially, of course . . .

A martial arts lawyer bent on mopping the floor with Longbow.

Champion Soldier Ivy

Ivy is an Arachnos soldier who once was an Olympic medalist that won several olympic medals, but had to surrender her medals when it was believed she had used 'performance enhancing drugs', when actually she hadn't.

In a fit of rage, she threw her medals with all of her might at the Olympic committee, and, as fate would have it, she killed one of them with her throw. Hunted by police, she made her way to an old cargo ship bound for the Rogue Isles.

In the Rogue Isles, she was recognized and accepted by Lady Arachnida, leader of the Champions of Arachnos.

She offered Ivy a chance at a new life and redemption, and, if proven - a legend. Lady Arachnida thinks she might be a "Destined One". Only time will tell if this olympic athlete now with Arachnos training is good enough to be a true "Champion of Arachnos".
