$Heroname
Heya. Currently, any circumstance in which the hero or villain's name is mentioned, the majority of us use the template {{Character}}. If you're currently going around checking contacts, could you use that instead of $Heroname? Thanks! Sera404 23:07, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oh. Right. Thanks I'll get onto that. Same with the gossip I've been recording. Been using $Villainname since forever. Noted for future reference :) - Skarmory The PG 17:18, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
SomethingVal and if/then statements
If these are going to be used as prolifically as I believe you intend, I'm concerned about the shear number of if/then statements in the wikimarkup. This isn't compiled code, this isn't even scripting php, instead this is a wiki extension that is using if/then statements in the wiki proccessing dohicky.
Getting into the technical details of the dohicky will be important, and I wish I knew what they were. See Template_talk:DefVal and http://paragonforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1118
