:Yes. It says when it was released (which is an historical notation) and gives the cost at release. In the future the cost may rise or fall, at which point we can add another note or alter the current note. ~ {{User:Aggelakis/Sig1}} 19:27, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

:: If you read the note it shows, it says "This section contains information that no longer applies to the current version of City of Heroes Freedom". That's not true. The information ''does'' currently apply to the current version of CoH. We probably need a better text in the historical template for these things. Even if the price had changed, the note is awkwardly stated for the information being presented. -- [[User:Sekoia|Sekoia]] 20:08, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

:::I think we have gotten into the habit of using Historical to mean History... as in, "let's keep a record of how things have progressed."  And I think the original intent of Historical was to catalogue old information.  As such, perhaps we need a new '''type=''' value to change Historical into a note about this section being about "...information that is noted for historical purposes" or somesuch.  {{User:Thirty7/Sig}} 20:45, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

::::  Sekoia states the point more clearly than I did.  The historical tag, as written, is inaccurate and misleading in this context.  All of you may know what it really means, but someone who is coming to the wiki for the first time will not read it that way.  {{User:StarGeek/sig}} 16:28, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Historical Tag

Is the historical tag really appropriate for the Paragon Market note? The cost information in that section is current. -- StarGeekTalk page 19:11, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Yes. It says when it was released (which is an historical notation) and gives the cost at release. In the future the cost may rise or fall, at which point we can add another note or alter the current note. ~ AGGE talk/cons 19:27, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
If you read the note it shows, it says "This section contains information that no longer applies to the current version of City of Heroes Freedom". That's not true. The information does currently apply to the current version of CoH. We probably need a better text in the historical template for these things. Even if the price had changed, the note is awkwardly stated for the information being presented. -- Sekoia 20:08, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
I think we have gotten into the habit of using Historical to mean History... as in, "let's keep a record of how things have progressed." And I think the original intent of Historical was to catalogue old information. As such, perhaps we need a new type= value to change Historical into a note about this section being about "...information that is noted for historical purposes" or somesuch. — Pill-37.png Talk · Cont 20:45, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
Sekoia states the point more clearly than I did. The historical tag, as written, is inaccurate and misleading in this context. All of you may know what it really means, but someone who is coming to the wiki for the first time will not read it that way. -- StarGeekTalk page 16:28, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
