Do you want to meet with Vagabond now?
Vagabond is one of the oldest fighters here in the Resistance. They say that he was an Italian soldier during the Hamidon War and that he travelled the entire war, fighting for various countries before he arrived here.
Vagabond is a difficult man to work with. He can go on about all that he's seen for hours if you let him. I try not to, but then again, I value my time.
Information
Former Seer
Beholder is a rare sight to see - a seer who escaped from the control of Praetor Tilman. She believes that she has a short lease on life and goes to great lengths to ensure anyone who deals with her knows this.
Prior to Introduction
I can hear you thinking, hear you talking. But it's not time for us to speak yet. Go away.
Wrong Alignment
Don't bother talking with me unless you're willing to devote yourself to this cause, Character.
Initial Contact
I hear it all, Character. Hatchet's thoughts of his pet. Vagabond's confused memories swirling around, Wardog's knowledge of history. I hear it all and I know it's going to end soon for me. Perhaps for all of us. You're here speaking to me now because I'm aware of your power, of your ability, and of your ability to push morals aside. You are the exact person I need help from. Let's get started with the destruction, shall we?
Greeting
Time is running out, Character. For all of us.
Too Busy
Your mind is wracked with various tasks to do. Clear your mind and come speak with me.
Too Low Level
None
No More Missions
Our time is finished for now, Character. All that's left is to wait until the end.

Seer Visor
Beholder gave you this Seer Visor from one of the seers you kidnapped. It reminds you of an experience you call...
Power of the Mind
It began with you helping Beholder, a former seer, capture four seers for a plan: to re-wire them as psychic bombs and to broadcast whatever messages the Resistance wanted to send all throughout Praetoria. It was easy enough to capture the seers, though you had to endure Mother Mayhem's voice taunting you while you were doing so.
You had some time to kill while Beholder was re-wiring the seers, so you went to recover information on Hamidon for Wardog. Beholder told you the information you found was apparently valuable, though Wardog refused to explain what it was for.
There was no time to wonder about this, however. Beholder had an issue: there was an aspect of Praetor Tilman controlling one of the seer's minds. You were sent into the woman's mind and destroyed Tilman's presence, freeing the seer from her influence.
Beholder activated the seers, unleashing their psychic blasts onto a specific PPD office, instantly killing everyone inside. You went in after the slaughter to collect information, only to run into what appeared to be sentient Clockwork who were looking for a woman named Penelope. You destroyed the Clockwork and found the information you needed: blueprints on the Behavioral Adjustment Facility in Imperial City.
Beholder told you that Vagabond had tremendous plans for these, but that she was done with being involved in the action. Everything that you did with her had tired her out; she claims she only has a few weeks left to live now and that she intends to live it out by watching the suffering of all those who are against the Resistance.
Part One: Sisters
Briefing
I believe in laying all the cards on the table from the very start, Character. That makes things faster for everyone. So pay attention, I'm only saying this once. Wardog is planning something very big. To start, he requires four seers. You see, Character, seers have the ability to put images directly into minds - a trick that Mother 'taught' all of us. We're going to kidnap seers to act as 'cameras', you could say, for our big event. But these seers will not simply be used as cameras. No, Character, these seers are going to be transformed into psychic bombs.
I will re-program their minds to unleash immense psychic shockwaves. It will damage their minds beyond repair, but does it matter, really? Take it from me, Mother has seen to it that their minds are already dead. We're simply putting them to better use.
- Sounds ambitious. What's the first step of this plan?
The first step is retrieving those sisters... those seers who will act as our bombs. This is the benefit of working with me, Character. My broken, shattered life as a seer has allowed me access to all the secrets that the program has. I can direct you to one of the facilities where seers are commonly kept. That is where our four candidates are. Kidnap them and I will get to work reprogramming their minds. Just be careful. Mother tends to watch over her flock very closely. She may try to probe your mind. Do not worry. Vanessa DeVore and I will keep you protected.
You had better hope that I don't die, however. My time is coming soon; whether it's in one minute or one month is anyone's guess.
Unnecessary Solicitation
Let's not make a habit talking to each other like this, Character. If I'm going to die at any second, I don't want it to be while talking to you when you should be getting this done.
Mission Objective(s)
You can feel something... strange in the air. As if someone is watching over this place very closely.
- Recover Seers for Beholder
- 4 seers to recover
You've gathered up all the seers necessary for Beholder's plan.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Seer (Seers Visionary) x4 (Non-escort NPC)
- (Praetorian Police Department PPD Interrogator) x4 (One guarding each Seer)
Debriefing
Vagabond is rounding up all the girls now. Did you hear Mother? Sometimes I miss her voice, you know. It's a weird, perverse thing. She nearly tore apart my brain, whispered in my mind every day. And now that I don't hear the voices anymore, I almost miss them. Not that it matters, I'll be dead soon and none of this will matter. But I'll make my mark here before I fade into the wind - as long as you continue to help, Character.
Part Two: Brief Aside
Briefing
We have some time before the seers are prepared for what must be done, Character. This is something I hate. I am not someone who enjoys waiting for things, especially given the death sentence under which I live. That is why we're going to go off and get some more work done on the side, all to further Wardog's plan. He's been very secretive about it; sometimes I believe he thinks one of us is a traitor, but that is impossible.
At any rate, Wardog has requested that you and I assist him on retrieving information. He asks now because of an attack the Destroyers have launched on a facility in Imperial City.
- What sort of information are we after?
It is information regarding the Hamidon. I've probed Wardog's mind, but he is an expert at keeping me, and Mother, out. He claims this will help us down the line, but I do have to wonder how it will help us. Anything regarding the Hamidon is dangerous, that much I know. Once, I accidentally allowed my mind to wander into that of the beast; what I saw was nightmarish.
Wardog has given me the location of a PPD lab. You'll need to hack the computers in there for any information on Hamidon and 'retrieve' any paperwork from the PPD, though I imagine that the Destroyers may have already destroyed most of what's there. You had better hurry.
Unnecessary Solicitation
Do you have that information yet?
Mission Objective(s)
The Destroyers have already made a mess of this place. Hopefully that information on Hamidon is still usable.
- Find information on Hamidon
- 2 computers to search for information
- Steal information from the Destroyer leader
- One minute until PPD reinforcements arrive
You've recovered the information that Wardog needed.
Enemies
Destroyers
Praetorian Police Department
Notable NPCs
- Sewer Smasher (Destroyers Top Dog) (Boss)
PPD reinforcements have arrived!
You found some files on Hamidon!
Hamidon's Monsters | |
You found a file that gives a brief overview on Hamidon's monsters. It seems they roam the wild, destroying anything in their path. One of the more important notes here is that they appear to be organic beings. The file ends by saying that the best weapon to 'clean them up' would be one that can eliminate purely organic life without damaging any structures. |
You took down Big Bad Man and found a torn apart dossier.
Hamidon's Reach | |
Sewer Smasher had this torn up dossier on Hamidon. Most of the information can't be read anymore, save for one small sentence.
'Sometimes, when I look out to the forest, I can see it. I can only hope the production is done in time.' |
Debriefing
Hrm... well, this is all interesting information, but I don't see how this pertains to anything we're working on. Unless Wardog is planning on somehow controlling the Hamidon to destroy Cole. But that would be idiotic.
Whatever, I'll get him this information. For now, however, you and I have bigger problems. Mother.
Part Three: Always Remember Mother
Briefing
I was foolish to think it would all be this simple. When is it ever simple, Character? Mother planned for this all along. I suppose this is what Vanessa did when she first found me.
I was able to break all the other girls off of the network. All except one. Mother has placed an aspect of herself within one seer's mind. I tried to dive into the woman's mind to clear it, but I nearly was taken back into the network in the process. I'd rather die on the spot today than go back to that 'place', Character.
- So am I supposed to mind dive into this woman?
Yes, that's exactly what you need to do. Give me a few moments to prepare myself. I'll focus my efforts to shield one of our Seers on the topside. She'll send you into the girl's mind. There, you will have to do battle with the aspect of Mother. You'll have to be prepared, Character. Mother ensures that her protections on her girls are extremely powerful.
In the meantime, I will prepare the other girls for our first test run of the psychic bombs.
Unnecessary Solicitation
What are you waiting for?
Briefing
Beholder has told me your mission. Please be quick, I can only sustain this link for a short amount of time.
- Will do. (Start Mission)
Mission Objective(s)
You find yourself within the pulsing mind of one of the Seers. Echoes of voices can be heard. Up ahead you see...other seers? These must be some sort of defensive procedures installed in this woman's mind.
- Defeat the Aspect of Praetor Tilman
- Defeat incoming Seers
- Defeat the Aspect of Praetor Tilman
You've freed the mind of the final seer!
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Aspect of Praetor Tilman (Seers) (Elite Boss)
- Luckily, this is not actually Mother Mayhem, but rather the lingering psychic impression of her presence within a Seer's mind.
When the Aspect of Tilman is defeated, you're flung back into your body. |
Debriefing
You did what I could not, Character. Part of me is jealous, the other, angry. I know now that I'll never get the chance to hand Tilman her head. No, by the time we get far enough to storm the gates of her 'hospital', I will be long dead. I suppose I can take solace in the fact that I helped you achieve this.
Our plans are almost ready, at the very least. Today, the PPD will know our pain, our power, and our ability to destroy what they hold dear.
Part Four: Devastation
Briefing
It's done, Character. It's all done.
The seers have unleashed their bombs onto one of the offices in Imperial City. It was a glorious slaughter. Every living being in there is now dead. The seers did their job wonderfully. All that's left is to retrieve the proper information in that office. I would go myself, but I believe my time on this plane is coming to an end. I can feel it getting harder to breathe. I may have a few more weeks, if I can keep myself from doing any heavy activity. I'd like to ask that you go into that office and retrieve the information that was stored in there. It's a boring request, but at least you're not dying, right?
- ...right.
Good. It might be a bit of a scene when you walk in there. The PPD haven't gone in yet for a clean up; I'm fairly certain they don't even know what has happened. This is the perfect chance to get in there and get whatever information is supposed to be stored in that building. I'd say good luck, but there's no reason to.
Unnecessary Solicitation
Can't talk... having a slight asthma attack...
Mission Objective(s)
The office looks as if nothing at all has happened. But you can see the motionless bodies of PPD up ahead.
- Retrieve Information from the Psychic Slaughter
- Retrieve confidential information from the computer
- Defeat incoming Clockwork
You found information about an entrance into the Behavioral Adjustment Facility and fought off Clockwork who seemed to be looking for a girl named Penelope.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Controlled Clockwork (Praetorian Clockwork Dismantler) (Boss)
You found the information on the Seers!
Behavioral Adjustment Facility | |
You've found information regarding the Behavioral Adjustment Facility - the 'BAF' - in Imperial City. The main point of interest are the blueprints of the facility, showing all the various nooks and crannies that can be seen. In the right hands, someone could easily use this to find ways to infiltrate the fortress. |
Debriefing
Ah, the plans for the BAF. I should have known this is what Wardog was after. Vagabond has been talking constantly about rescuing all the men that were sent there. Did you enjoy the carnage that you saw down there, Character? I wish I could've seen it myself.
You were assaulted by Clockwork who weren't speaking in code? That's... odd. I know I felt an odd psychic presence when you were there. There are rumors floating around about some sort of Clockwork 'saint', though that's silly, of course. I wouldn't let it bother you; I know I'm not. I have little time left on this world of ours, I intend to use it by looking into the minds of those we're about to destroy utterly. At least then I'll get some form of entertainment before I die.
