Created during City of Heroes beta (12/23/03), the Dev Digest is a special thread on the "City of" boards that displays all posts made by Cryptic Studios personnel.
Odd Facts
- When it was created, the Dev's Digest originally would show both Cryptic and NCsoft posts. On January 10th, 2007 Lighthouse formed the Community Digest and moved all moderators to it.
- Several strange bugs previously allowed players to post in the Dev Digest thread; all posts have been subsequently removed.
- Administrator, a fake admin account, exists solely to create and preserve the Dev Digest thread. Security on the Administrator account was compromised by similar early bugs. Players were able to hijack access and post silly messages early in the game's career, thus leading up to Administrator's thirty-four posts.
