− | ==== Assist ====
| + | |
− | A player can automatically assist another hero by clicking on him. The player's attacks will always target whichever villain the other hero has targeted.
| + | |
| | | |
− | ==== Auto-Attacks ==== | + | === Combat === |
− | A player may set a single power to auto-attack by hitting the pink key while left clicking on the power's icon in the blueviolet. The power will always activate as soon as it is recharged, provided that the player has enough turquoise and that there is a legal target.

| + | === Nav === |
− | Whenever a player clicks on or mouses over a target, the target's name appears above its head and in the blueviolet. The color of the name represents the difference between the target's level and the hero's. Considering targets in this way is typically called 'conning.'

− | A villain's turquoise also affects its conning colors. A turquoise adds a single level to his conning color. A turquoise adds two levels. turquoise and turquoise con three levels higher than their actual level.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Damage ====
| + | |
− | Damage and Healing numbers appear above the heads of villains and heroes. The number's color indicates whether the value is healing or damage – and its source.
| + | |
− | <br>yellow
| + | |
− | <br>orangered damage done by the player
| + | |
− | <br>green healing done by the player
| + | |
− | <br>gray damage/healing others did to them
| + | |
− | <br>yellow
| + | |
− | <br>red damage
| + | |
− | <br>green healing
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Damage Types ====
| + | |
− | There are eight different damage types: turquoise, turquoise, turquoise, turquoise, turquoise, turquoise, turquoise, and turquoise. Some villains have resistances to certain damage types. If an attack deals more than one type of damage, several numbers will appear above the target's head - one for each type of damage.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Defense ==== | + | |
− | Some powers give a bonus to a character's Defense. This makes that character harder to hit in combat. All +DEF powers have to be associated with one or more types of Defense. These types protect you from that type of attack. The following is a list of Defense types:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | When two or more powers affect the same type of Defense, they stack (meaning that they add together). If they don't, and an incoming attack qualifies as two or more qualifying attack types, then only the higher value is taken. EXAMPLE: A character has a power giving them 20% Defense to Ranged attacks, and a different power giving them 10% Defense to Fire attacks. That character has a 20% Defense to Flares (an attack that is both Fire and Range), not 30%. This is because the two powers do not stack and the system looks at the highest value.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Defenses that are typed as "All" or "All Except" include the Melee, Ranged and Area of Effect types as well as the normal damage types, and thus stack with everything else.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Defeat ====
| + | |
− | Whenever a player reaches 0 turquoise, he is turquoise. A pop-up window asks him whether he'd like to be transported to a hospital. If he prefers to be revived on the spot, he can simply leave this window up. While waiting to be revived, a player can turquoise and even turquoise. He will not be able to use turquoise and turquoise, except those that are specified as usable after defeat.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | If a player chooses to be transported to a hospital, he will be taken to the hospital in the last turquoise he visited.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | As a penalty for turquoise, the player incurs turquoise. While this debt remains, he must spend half his earned turquoise paying it off. The rest of his turquoise accumulates normally. A player's debt will never exceed half the turquoise required for his next turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Endurance ====
| + | |
− | turquoise is the energy a player uses to activate powers. A player has 100 turquoise. Unlike turquoise, this amount doesn't increase with turquoise or differ by turquoise. Players recover Endurance}} at a constant rate, even during combat.
| + | |
− | <br>A player can monitor his turquoise in his blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Hit Points ====
| + | |
− | turquoise are a measure of how tough a player is - how much damage they can take before turquoise. At each turquoise, a player gains more turquoise. The number he gains is determined by his turquoise.
| + | |
− | <br>A player can monitor his turquoise in his blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Security Level ====
| + | |
− | The overall power of a hero or villain is measured by his turquoise. The higher the level, the greater their capabilities. Lone heroes should not tackle foes three or more levels above them. Players should typically team with other heroes within three levels of their own.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Target Window ====
| + | |
− | Whenever a player pink on a villain or another hero, information appears in the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A targeted villain's name will appear at the top of the window. Directly underneath is his Villain Group. The villain's turquoise and turquoise are represented by two bars. To their left is the villain's level. To their right is the villain's turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | If the target is a hero, similar information is displayed. Instead of a turquoise, the player's turquoise (if any) appears beneath his name. Instead of a turquoise, the player's turquoise and turquoise are provided.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The blueviolet also includes an blueviolet which lists the actions a player can do to the target. The player selects an action by clicking it. A player can also see the blueviolet by pink on a target.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Villain Rank ====
| + | |
− | Villains are divided into a number of turquoise. Each turquoise differs in power. The turquoise are as follows:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise – These are small annoyances to a hero and can challenge one only in numbers. It takes 5 or more Underlings to threaten a player.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise – These are extremely common in every Villain Group. Typically, it takes 3 Minions to challenge a hero, though this number increases as a hero's Security Level rises.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise – A Lieutenant is almost powerful enough to challenge a single hero, though he usually needs some minions alongside him.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise – Bosses are mighty foes and should not be taken lightly. They can defeat lone heroes with no difficulty and can prove a challenge for two or three.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise – Arch Villains are the evil masterminds and leaders of the city's many Villain Groups. They are as powerful as five or six heroes combined.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise – This Rank covers the various giant creatures that lurk the streets of Paragon City - and its mysterious depths. A Monster is the equal of a full team of eight heroes.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Queue attacks ====
| + | |
− | Each power requires a certain amount of time to execute. If a player attempts to use a power while activating another, the second power is queued. A red circle appears around its icon, and it will activate as soon as possible. A player may only have one power in his queue at any time.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | === Bases ===
| + | |
− | ==== Who Can Edit? ==== | +
− |
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Your base can be edited by any member of your supergroup who has been given permission. The supergroup leader can set Base Editing privileges by going to Supergroup/Options/Permissions. The leader can choose the rank(s) allowed to edit the base. The highest rank is always allowed to edit the base. Only one person can edit at a time.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | When you are in the Entrance Room of your base, a pop-up window listing three choices appears: Upgrade Plot, Add Personal Item and Edit Base.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Upgrade Plot ====
| + | |
− | Your plot is the grid that you place all your rooms on. You start with a small plot. To get a larger plot, use Upgrade Plot. Pick the grid you want your current base has to fit entirely within the grid plot you are changing to. You can upgrade (or downgrade) your plot at any time.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Be sure to choose a plot that will let you place the things you want and take care not too spend too much. You will need Prestige to place rooms, outfit your base, and launch raids.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Add Personal Item ====
| + | |
− | This button is grayed out until you build an item in the workshop. You build items with your salvage. Items you build, you get to place even if you don't have Edit Base privileges.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Edit Base ====
| + | |
− | This puts you into Base Editor mode. You can move around your base normally. If you double-click on a square in any room, you are instantly moved there. Use the right mouse button to view from above or below (to place items on the ceiling). Page Down will snap the camera close to you making it easier to see details in a room.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The window at the bottom of the screen has buttons for what you can do: Create Room, Pick Style, Place Item, and Current Room. Next to these buttons are tabs for different categories. Selecting a tab displays all pieces in that category. To place rooms and items, select the piece and move the mouse to where you want to place it. When it is in a valid location the highlight box changes to blue. Clicking will place it there.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The window on the left gives information about the room you are currently in. The Stats tab lists the types and numbers of items that room can accept. Remember your plot type also has limits on item placement that may be different from individual rooms. The window on the right gives details about the current selection.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Energy and Control ====
| + | |
− | Energy and Control points are needed for base items to operate. Energy is generated by generators and the like; control comes from computers and arcane devices. The amounts of energy and control created and used by your base are shown at the bottom of the screen. Even if you do not produce enough energy or control, you can still place items; however, they will be turned off and will not provide any benefits. Turned off items are grayed out to alert you.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Creating Rooms ====
| + | |
− | Rooms have specific functions that determine what kinds of objects you can place in them. The tabs list the different categories of rooms - energy, control, defense, etc. Within each category are rooms that vary by number of items allowed, types of items and size. The left window provides exact details of each as you select it.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | When you place a room, it must connect the Front Entrance either directly or through other rooms. A connecting hallway is automatically added between it and all adjacent rooms. If a room cannot be placed, first make sure it is one square away from all other rooms (rooms cannot touch each other). If a hallway will not appear where you think it should, check to see if there are items on the wall of the linking room since these will block connection.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The Light Tab in Room window allows you to change the color and intensity of the general lighting in the room. There are three lights - high, middle, and low - and you can set each one separately. The display in the right window allows you to change the height of the floor and ceiling in the selected square. You can apply your choice to the entire room or base. You can also change the space to a solid pillar. Note, however, that the editor will not let you place a block if it prevents access to another room or to most functional items.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | You cannot delete a room if that would leave others isolated from the Front Entrance.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Pick Style ====
| + | |
− | Here you can be artistic, changing the look of room. The Styles tab gives the whole room to a pre-set look. The remaining tabs allow you to change specific sections of the walls, ceiling, and floor.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Place Item ====
| + | |
− | This is the where you place useful and decorative items in your base. Each room type has a different selection of items that can be placed in it. Items are divided into three general groups:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Main: These items provide the base functionality for your base. They include generators, ley taps, mainframes, teleporters, resurrection circles, and more.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Aux: Aux items improve main items they are attached to; a circuit breaker adds to the energy produced by a generator, for example. Aux items attach to specific main items. What attaches to what is shown in the Aux tab of the main item. The Aux item attaches to the nearest legal target in the same room. The two (main and aux) will highlight to show the link.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Decorative: Decorative items do not count toward item limits and are included to let you create your base concept.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | You can use the right mouse button to rotate a selected item. You can also click and drag the item to a new location after it has been placed. If you delete an item, you recover the total Prestige cost but will lose any salvage used to build it.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Items cannot completely block doorways or access to key equipment. If an item does not place in a location that appears legal it is usually because a minimum distance is required between objects, especially where they would block a hallway.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Current Room ====
| + | |
− | This displays all items in the selected room.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Building Items ====
| + | |
− | Your base starts with only simple versions of most items. To have better, you must gather recipes and salvage. Some recipes are automatically available to you. Others can be unlocked by earning Supergroup Badges and completing specific missions. You collect salvage by defeating mobs while in Supergroup mode.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | All building is done in workshops using worktables. There are three levels of worktables for both Tech and Arcane. Selecting a worktable will display a list of what you can build there.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Building an item is a two-step process. In the first step you use multiple pieces of salvage to build components. Each table can build two types of components such as Tech Material or Arcane Glyph. The second step is to use these components to build the actual item. Every recipe lists the types and numbers of components you need to build it. When you choose to build a component or item, the necessary pieces are automatically removed from your salvage inventory.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Items you build cannot be transferred from one base to another. You must place them in the base where they were built
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | === Contacts ===
| + | |
− | ==== Contact Box ====
| + | |
− | A player can view his current turquoise by clicking on the blueviolet in the blueviolet. Each turquoise picture appears in a box, along with his name and turquoise to the player. If the player is currently doing a turquoise for the turquoise, or has recently completed one, this information also appears in the blueviolet. If a player has reached the turquoise Relationship with a turquoise, a blueviolet appears on the right hand side of the box (see yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Relationship Status ====
| + | |
− | As a hero completes turquoise for a turquoise, his relationship with the turquoise grows (see yellow). A bar in the bluevioletmeasures the status of this turquoise. The five stages are as follows:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise - The hero and the Contact have just met. The hero can request Tasks from the Contact. If the Contact has a store, it may contain a few items.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise - The hero and the Contact have developed a mutual respect. The hero can request Tasks from the Contact. If the Contact has a store, it contains more items or is opened to the player for the first time. The hero is introduced to one or more Contacts of the same level as his current Contact.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise - The hero and the Contact are good friends. The hero can request Tasks from the Contact. If the Contact has a store, all items are available to hero. The hero can call the Contact (see Call Button).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise - The hero and the Contact are in a true mentor-student relationship. The Contact will introduce the hero to a higher level Contact.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Call Button ==== | +
− | Once a player has reached the turquoise, he no longer needs to travel to the turquoise in order to interact (see yellow). He can simply press the blueviolet in the blueviolet. A player can notify a Contact of a completed turquoise or receive a new one (see yellow). However, a player must travel to the turquoise in order to access the turquoise store (see yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Clues ====
| + | |
− | turquoise are items that a player gains through the course of his adventures. A player receives an on-screen message whenever he finds a turquoise. He can read the turquoise details by clicking the blueviolet on his blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise frequently indicate that the player is in the midst of a longer adventure, called a turquoise. When analyzed by a turquoise or another NPC, turquoise often tell the hero what to do next.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | When a player has completed a turquoise or turquoise, a turquoise sometimes turns into a turquoise. These serve as mementos of the hero's sagas. A player can examine them by clicking on the blueviolet in the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Completed Tasks ====
| + | |
− | When a hero has completed a turquoise for a turquoise, a message appears in the blueviolet telling him what to do next. After turquoise, turquoise, and turquoise, the hero is asked to return to his turquoise. After a player completes a turquoise, the blueviolet says 'Mission Complete.' The player can click on these words to exit the Mission Map immediately. Then the blueviolet will tell him to return to his turquoise.The status of a turquoise also appears in each blueviolet (see yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Defeat Tasks ====
| + | |
− | turquoise ask heroes to defeat a number of members from a particular turquoise. Sometimes the turquoise specifies the turquoise in which the player must do this. If the location is not specified, the player can defeat these foes anywhere - including a Mission Map - and work towards fulfilling the turquoise quota. A foe must be of the appropriate turqoise in order to count toward the turquoise quota; the turquoise appears directly under the villain's name in the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Introductions ====
| + | |
− | A player must be introduced to a turquoise before he can interact with the turquoise in any way. Initially, a player is assigned a turquoise in either City Hall or the Freedom Corps Headquarters. Once a hero achieves turquoise status with this initial turquoise, he is given a choice of two new turquoise. This same process repeats whenever a player reaches Colleague or turquoise status with a turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Patrols ====
| + | |
− | On turquoise, a hero must go to a zone and check in at a number of call boxes, by touching them. This lets the Paragon City authorities know the status of that area. The call boxes look like this:
| + | |
− | <br>
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Store ====
| + | |
− | turquoise can sell heroes turquoise and turquoise. A player must spend turquoise to obtain these items from turquoise. A turquoise will only provide these items to heroes who have been introduced to him. Higher level turquoise usually offer extremely valuable items at the higher turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Tasks ==== | + | |
− | There are four basic types of Tasks: turquoise, turquoise, turquoise, and turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A turquoise is an instanced map that only the hero and his teammates can enter.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A turquoise requires the hero to defeat a certain number of villains from a turquoise (See yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise require the hero to go to a certain zone and check in at a number of call boxes (See yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Lastly, there are turquoise. These typically ask that a hero go to another turquoise or NPC for information or a delivery.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Successful completion of turquoise adds to the turquoise of a turquoise (see yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Team Tasks ====
| + | |
− | When a hero teams up with other heroes, it's up to the team leader to set the turquoise for the entire group. The team leader can view the current Tasks of all team members by clicking the blueviolet on the bottom of the blueviolet. The leader has two tabs to view: his own missions (blueviolet) or the team's missions (blueviolet). To select a team Task, the leader clicks on the task, then clicks the blueviolet at the bottom of the blueviolet. The entire team is now on this turquoise. This is the ONLY way for players to go into another player's Mission Map.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise are handled differently. The quota for turquoise goes down whenever the team defeats the appropriate villains, even if the turquoise is not currently selected (See yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | === Nav ===
| + | |
− | ==== Compass ====
| + | |
− | The blueviolet shows the player which direction he's facing: North, South, East, or West. When a player selects a landmark on the blueviolet, that landmark also appears on his blueviolet (See yellow for more details).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Fog of War ====
| + | |
− | If a player has never entered an area, it appears on the blueviolet in gray (in a turquoise) or black (in a turquoise, turquoise, or turquoise). As a player enters these areas, their details are revealed on the blueviolet. From this point on, the areas will remain revealed.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Movement ====
| + | |
− | The default movement keys are:
| + | |
− | <br>pink: forward
| + | |
− | <br>pink: Backward
| + | |
− | <br>pink: Left
| + | |
− | <br>pink: Right
| + | |
− | <br>To change directions, a player holds down the pink and moves the mouse in the direction he wishes to travel.
| + | |
− | <br>A player can customize the movement keys by clicking on blueviolet in the blueviolet and selecting blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Light Rail ====
| + | |
− | Heroes can move from zone to zone through the intra-city Light Rail system. Monorails connect one turquoise to another turquoise. A hero can choose to go to any station along that Light Rail line.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | There are two Light Rail lines that form concentric loops around the city. The lines, and the turquoise they connect are as follows:
| + | |
− | <br>yellow: Atlas Park – Steel Canyon – Galaxy City – Kings Row – Skyway City
| + | |
− | <br>green: Independence Port – Brickstown – Talos Island – Steel Canyon
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Thumbtacks ==== | +
− | A Thumbtack is a temporary mark that a player can place on a blueviolet. In order to place a Thumbtack, the player needs to left click on a place on the open blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Zone Difficulty Levels ====
| + | |
− | Each Zone has a recommended level range. Players cannot enter turquoise or turquoise that are above their turquoise, but players can travel through turquoise freely.
| + | |
− | | + | |

− | When a player clicks on one of these icons, it will appear as a Waypoint in the blueviolet. An indicator on the screen will tell the player how far away his Waypoint is.
| + | |
− | <br>Each icon also displays its name on a mouseover. Light Rail stations display the name of the Zone they connect to.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | === Powers ===
| + | |
− | ==== Opening Up Powers ====
| + | |
− | Powers in the turquoise and turquoise open up over time. As a player gains turquoise, he will gain access to more powers in each set.

| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Power Pools ==== | +
− | turquoise are sets of powers that any hero can select. Beginning at level 6, players can choose one of the first two powers from any turquoise set. Players can choose the third power in the set once they reach Level 14, provided that they've picked one of the first two. They may choose the fourth power at twentieth level, but only if they've chosen two out of the first three powers. Players can select up to four turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Power Tray ====
| + | |
− | A player activates his powers through his blueviolet. The blueviolet is open when a player first starts the game, but it can be closed and opened by left clicking the blueviolet in the hero's blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | At character creation, a player's powers are automatically placed in his blueviolet. When a player gains additional powers, he must move them into the blueviolet himself. To do this, he left clicks the blueviolet on the blueviolet. This opens the blueviolet. Then he pink the new power and drags it to a slot on the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To move an icon once it's in the blueviolet, a player pink on the icon and pink it to a new position in the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To remove an icon from the blueviolet, a player pink on the icon and selects blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To quickly add and remove powers, players can pink the power icons in the blueviolet. If the power is not already in the blueviolet, it is placed in the first available space. If it is already in the blueviolet, it is removed.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The blueviolet contains ten slots which are hotkeyed to the pink. Hitting a pink activates the power in the same numbered slot.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | There are nine blueviolet, each of which have ten slots. A player can cycle through his Trays by pink on the arrow keys to the left of the blueviolet. This allows players to create blueviolet appropriate for different situations.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A player can open two blueviolet the arrow on top of the blueviolet. This allows the player to access up to 20 powers easily, though only the bottom Tray is hotkeyed to the pink.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Temporary Powers ====
| + | |
− | Heroes occasionally receive turquoise in the game. A player can access the turquoise by clicking the blueviolet on the blueviolet. This opens the blueviolet. He can then pink and pink the turquoise to the turquoise.
| + | |
− | Players possess turquoise for only a limited time. When a turquoise expires, the power disappears from the blueviolet and blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | === Rewards ===
| + | |
− | ==== Enhancements ====
| + | |
− | turquoise are items that boost one or more effects of a power (Range, Damage, etc.).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | There are three types of turquoise:
| + | |
− | <br>1) turquoise – These are the weakest form of turquoise and are can be used by all origins.
| + | |
− | <br>2) turquoise – These are more potent than turquoise. They can be used by only two origins.
| + | |
− | <br>3) turquoise – These are the rarest and most powerful of turquoise. They can only be used by a single origin.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise have levels, just like heroes. A hero's turquoise need to be within a certain range of his own level to be effective. As an turquoise level becomes farther from the hero's level, its effectiveness decreases. Once a player is 4 or more levels higher than his turquoise, it is no longer usable. A player can use turquoise up to 3 levels above his own.
| + | |
− | | + | |

Once a player is 4 or more levels higher than his turquoise, it is no longer usable. A player can use turquoise up to 3 levels above his own.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Provided that the turquoise can be used, a turquoise is always better than a turquoise, and a turquoise is always better than a turquoise. This is true regardless of the turquoise levels.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise are earned by defeating villains. They can also be purchased from stores or from turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise – These are a new type of enhancements built by the player at workstations located in either a turquoise or within a player's Supergroup base, if they have purchased a workstation. Invented Enhancements give a 'set bonus', which means that as the player fills the enhancements within the 'set', he receives additional bonuses. Once the entire set is complete, all the bonuses are in place and may be enjoyed along with the benefits from other 'sets'. These benefits are automatic as soon as the enhancement is slotted. Invented Enhancements cannot be combined with any other types of turquoise Invented Enhancements do not expire.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Enhancement Slots ====
| + | |
− | When a player reaches certain turquoise, he assigns new turquoise to various powers. These slots allow him to equip more turquoise to that power and make it more effective. Players should think carefully about where they put their turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Enhancement Combination ====
| + | |
− | turquoise can be combined in order to increase their level. To be combined, both turquoise must be of the same type (turquoise, turquoise, or turquoise). They must also modify the same element of a power, such as range or accuracy.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To combine turquoise, a player first pink the blueviolet on his blueviolet. He equips one of the chosen turquoise to a power, then pink that power's icon. The blueviolet will appear. A player pink on the equipped turquoise, then selects an appropriate turquoise to combine it with. He can choose from the blueviolet, or from the turquoise equipped to the same power.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | If the combination is successful, the higher level turquoise is boosted by one level. If the combination fails, the lower level turquoise is permanently lost.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The likelihood of success depends upon the difference between the two turquoise levels. The greater the difference between the two, the lower the chance of success. The smaller the difference, the greater the chance.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Once an turquoise is boosted two levels above its original level, it can only be used to improve higher level turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Equipping Enhancements ====
| + | |
− | In order to equip an turquoise, a player must open the blueviolet by clicking the blueviolet on the blueviolet. A player can select any turquoise from the bottom of the screen, pink it, and pink it to any appropriate turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | When a player pink an turquoise, all appropriate turquoise turn green.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A warning reminds players that equipping is permanent.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Experience Points ====
| + | |
− | Heroes earn turquoise (turquoise) for defeating villains and completing tasks. When a player has earned enough turquoise, he gains a new Security Level. His abilities become more effective immediately, but he won't gain access to new powers or turquoise until he has trained.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | When two or more players defeat a foe together, the turquoise is divided according to the damage done by each person. If some of those players were on a team, while others were not, the teams act as a single entity for the purposes of turquoise division.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | When a player teams up with other players, everyone receives a slight bonus to the turquoise they earn. Within a team, turquoise is divided according to turquoise. Higher level characters receive a larger share than lower level characters.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise cannot be lost or traded. The only penalty related to turquoise is the turquoise system (See yellow, under yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Influence ====
| + | |
− | turquoise is the commodity of heroes. The more a hero does in Paragon City, the more “pull” he's got with various people and organizations. Heroes may spend turquoise as if it were currency. turquoise is tradable and can be lost due to turquoise or turquoise failure. turquoise can be used to purchase turquoise and turquoise from turquoise or turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Inspirations ====
| + | |
− | turquoise are dramatic turns of events that boost a hero's performance for a short time. There are six kinds of turquoise. Each has a characteristic color and symbol.
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Each turquoise has three levels of potency. Highly potent turquoise have a much larger symbol than weaker turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Inspiration Tray ====
| + | |
− | turquoise automatically go to a player's blueviolet when they are earned or purchased. The columns in the blueviolet are hotkeyed to the first five pink. When a player presses one of these keys, he'll use the bottom turquoise in that column. Then the turquoise above it will slide down and take its place. Players will find it useful to organize the columns by turquoise type, so they can be quickly used in combat.
| + | |
− | <br>turquoise can be moved around in the blueviolet by pink their icon and dragging it to a new slot. They can be removed by pink the icon and selecting 'Remove.'
| + | |
− | <br>The blueviolet is opened and closed by pink the blueviolet on the turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Titles ==== | + | |
− | When a hero first arrives in Paragon City, the press and the authorities tend to take their time before lavishing too much praise. But at certain points, the public deems the hero worthy of adulation and places an honorific adjective in front of the hero's name. These are called turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | At first, a player has only two available turquoise – 'The' and 'none.' At level 15, he can choose from a larger selection. At level 25, he can choose from a list of turquoise specific to his origin. Whenever a player acquires a new title, he can change or remove earlier turquoise, or he can use them all. To choose a turquoise, the hero must visit a trainer.

− | The novice heroes of Paragon City require training from veteran heroes in order to realize their untapped potential. These veteran heroes are found in central locations of various turquoise. The turquoise are as follows:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Ms. Liberty - In front of Atlas' statue
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Back Alley Brawler - Freedom Corp Building
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Valkyrie - Blyde Square, at the foot of the central statue
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Mynx - Aerie Plaza
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Luminary - New Troy, at the monorail station
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Aurora Borealis - Bell Medical Center
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Infernal - Williams Square, in the plaza
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Swan - Near entrance to Independence Port
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A hero automatically becomes a more effective fighter after a level change. But he must see a turquoise to earn any new powers, turquoise, or turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | === Social ===
| + | |
− | ==== Chat Basics ==== | +
− | To enter chat, a player hits the pink. Whatever the player types appears in the blueviolet at the bottom of the blueviolet. To exit Chat, a player hits blueviolet again. The text is broadcast along the specified turquoise and appears in a word bubble above the hero's head (see yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The window directly above the blueviolet is the blueviolet. There are 4 additional blueviolet that can be opened and closed via the green, green, green, and green menu buttons on the blueviolet. These windows contain game information (such as damage and rewards) as well as chat from other players.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | By toggling the blue on the blueviolet, you can detach each window and move them independantly of the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The blueviolet has a special option to hide the chat pane and only display the menu and blueviolet. This mode can be toggled by pressing the blue on the right side of the blueviolet menu.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Chat Tabs ====
| + | |
− | A blueviolet is an independant filter for sending and receiving chat messages. Each blueviolet can contain one or more blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A blueviolet may receive messages from as many yellow as you wish, but may only send chat to a single yellow.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | You may specify the name for each blueviolet, but are not allowed to have 2 or more blueviolet with the same name.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | You may have a maximum of 10 blueviolet at once, and these can be distributed to any of the 5 available blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet can be freely moved among the 5 blueviolet by pink a blueviolet. Two blueviolet can swap positions by pink one blueviolet onto the other. pink a blueviolet onto a blueviolet corresponding number in the blueviolet menu (green, green, green or green) will automatically open the indicated window.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet are colored as follows:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | green blueviolet, White blueviolet: This is the turquoise, and will receive chat input if your yellow is turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | White blueviolet: Contains new/unread chat messages.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | gray blueviolet: Does not contain any new/unread chat messages.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | | + | |
− | The following blueviolet commands can be accessed via a blueviolet yellow:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Create A new Chat Tab in the corresponding Chat Window.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Edit the selected Tab's settings.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Removes a Chat Tab
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Empties out the chat history in the selected blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | When you turquoise or turquoise a blueviolet, you will be able to choose the yellow that send messages to the blueviolet. This can be done by pink on a channel name to highlight it and then pressing the turquoise or turquoise button. An alternate method is to pink the channel name.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Each blueviolet may set a yellow that will receive all of your chat input sent to that blueviolet. If you do not set a yellow, you will not be able to send input to that particular blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Chat Channels ==== | +
− | A player can direct his dialogue to specific areas and people through turquoise. These are:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet: The hero will be heard by all nearby players.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet: The hero will be heard by all players on the same map.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet: The hero can communicate with his teammates.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet: The hero can communicate with other members of his Supergroup.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet: This is a channel reserved for trading, buying and selling.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet: The hero will be heard by everyone on his Friends list.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | blueviolet: The hero will will send chat input to the yellow of the current green.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A player can send messages on only one turquoise at a time. A player can change turquoise by pink the buttons above the blueviolet. Each turquoise is represented by its first letter; L stands for blueviolet, B for blueviolet, etc.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Chat channel messages are received by all turquoise that contain each respective channel. A turquoise channel list can be customized by selecting blueviolet from a turquoise blueviolet menu.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Each type of message appears in its own color. This is not customizable.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Active Tab ====
| + | |
− | The turquoise is the currently selected blueviolet, and is indicated by a distinct green color.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | You may select the Active Tab by pink on any blueviolet with one or more blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The turquoise will receive all chat input if the chat entry mode is set to yellow (see yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== E-Mail ====
| + | |
− | City of Heroes has an internal e-mail system that allows players to communicate even when not online together.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To send an e-mail, a player pink the blueviolet on the blueviolet. If he has any new messages, he'll see them in the blueviolet. To compose an e-mail, a player pink the blueviolet. The player needs to use the other hero's name in the blueviolet field.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | If the receiver is offline, the e-mail will be stored until it is read. If the other player is online, he'll receive an e-mail notification in the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Friends ====
| + | |
− | The turquoise is a perfect way to keep track of the other heroes a player meets in Paragon City.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To make another person a turquoise, a player can pink on the hero and select blueviolet. Alternatively, a player can type the slash command '/friend PLAYERNAME' into the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To view his turquoise, a player pink the blueviolet in the blueviolet. The blueviolet tells him whether each turquoise is online or not. If a turquoise is online, the blueviolet displays his current turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A player can pink the turquoise name in the window to bring up a list of possible actions with that player.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise can be removed from a player's turquoise by pink their name and selecting blueviolet. The slash command '/estrange PLAYERNAME' serves the same function.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Ignore ==== | + | |
− | If a player no longer wishes to receive any messages from another player, he can add that player to the turquoise. To do so, he types the Slash Command '/ignore PLAYERNAME' in the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To remove a player from the turquoise, a player types the Slash Command '/unignore PLAYERNAME' in the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To view the turquoise, a player types the Slash Command '/ignorelist' in the blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Sidekicks ==== | + | |
− | The turquoise system allows heroes of widely disparate turquoise to team up and fight crime. The lower level character, the turquoise, has his level artificially boosted so that he can battle alongside his turquoise (the higher level character).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Heroes can become turquoise once they reach level 10. To sidekick another player, a turquoise pink on the other hero. The slash command "/sidekick PLAYERNAME" also works.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The turquoise effective level is boosted to one level beneath the turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A turquoise damage, turquoise, defense, and accuracy are all boosted to this new level. His turquoise continue to provide the same benefits they gave him before he became a turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A turquoise must stay within 200 ft. of his turquoise in order to receive this level boost. If a turquoise leaves this radius, his level reverts to normal. A turquoise may not enter any turquoise or turquoise that his real level would not allow. Some places are too dangerous for turquoise!
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise gain turquoise as if they were still fighting foes near their actual level. If a turquoise takes on a villain 1 level above his boosted level, he'll gain the same turquoise he would normally gain by defeating a villain 1 level above his actual level.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A turquoise may have only one turquoise at any time. And a turquoise may have only one turquoise at a time.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The turquoise or turquoise can terminate the relationship by using the slash command "/unsidekick" in the <color blueviolet>Chat Entry box.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Supergroups ====
| + | |
− | turquoise are permanent associations of heroes. A player must be 10th level before he can form or join a turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To form a turquoise, a player needs to go to a turquoise. These are located at City Hall in Atlas Park or at Freedom Corps Headquarters in Galaxy City.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The founder of a turquoise must fill out the infamous Form 27 B/6 in entirety. The founder chooses the turquoise name, motto, message of the day, team colors, and team insignia. He even chooses titles for the different levels of membership. By default, these ranks are Leader, Captain, and Member.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Any member can don the colors and team insignia of his turquoise. To do this, a player pink the blueviolet in the blueviolet, then blueviolet. Immediately, the hero's costume colors and chest insignia change to those of the group.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A player can view the other members of his turquoise by pink the blueviolet in the blueviolet. This window shows who's online (and in which turquoise), when they joined, and how long they've played in turquoise mode.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Members of a turquoise can all chat on the turquoise. If a player sends a message in this channel, the entire turquoise receives the message (See yellow).
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Task Forces ==== | +
− | A turquoise is a long series of turquoise that usually culminates in a battle with one of Paragon City's turquoise. In return for the great risk, turquoise provide great rewards. Task Force missions are given by the turquoise, the only heroes who survived the Rikti War. The turquoise are as follows:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Positron - Blyde Square, at the foot of the central statue
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Synapse - Aerie Plaza
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Citadel - New Troy, at the monorail station
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Sister Psyche - Bell Medical Center
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise: Numina - Williams Square, in the plaza
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | In order to start a turquoise, a player must first gather a team of the requisite size. Each of the turquoise will tell heroes how many members they must gather. The team leader then pink on the turquoise hero and accepts the turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise teams cannot invite additional members. Anyone who drops out of the turquoise cannot rejoin. A turquoise is a large commitment, and players should carefully consider their participation.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A turquoise is terminated when all members of the team quit.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Teams ==== | + | |
− | Other heroes can often make the difference between triumph and tragedy. Consequently, players often find themselves looking for other people to turquoise with.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To find fellow heroes, a player pink the blueviolet in the blueviolet. By pink the blueviolet, a player adds himself to a list of players actively seeking teams. To find other players who want to turquoise, a player pink the blueviolet. This will pop up a list of all players in that turquoise who are currently seeking a turquoise. Players can see other heroes' turquoise, turquoise, and turquoise. By pink other heroes' names, players can invite them to a turquoise.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | A turquoise can have a maximum of eight players at once. The turquoise is the player who invited the rest of the members.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise can cooperate to complete any member's turquoise. (See yellow under yellow for more information)
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | turquoise split turquoise between members according to their turquoise. Higher level characters receive a larger share than lower level characters.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Tell ====
| + | |
− | A turquoise is a directed message to another player. No one else can hear this message.
| + | |
− | <br>Players use the blueviolet to send a turquoise. The format of a turquoise is:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | /tell PLAYERNAME, the message | +
− | | + | |
− | A common error is to forget the comma following the player's name.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | ==== Trade ====
| + | |
− | Players can trade turquoise, turquoise, and turquoise. Players must be nearby to trade with one another.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | To initiate a turquoise, a player can do one of three things:
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | 1) pink on another hero and select blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | 2) Target another hero, go to the blueviolet in the blueviolet and select blueviolet.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | 3) Enter the blueviolet and type "/trade PLAYERNAME"
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The other player is invited to trade. If that player accepts the invitation, the blueviolet opens up for both parties. If the player rejects the invitation, the inviting player is notified.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | The blueviolet shows the turquoise, turquoise, and turquoise owned by a player. To offer items, the player pink on each item he wishes to give. These appear on the left side of the blueviolet; items offered by his trading partner appear on the right.
| + | |
− | | + | |
− | Once a player is satisfied with the trade, he clicks the green blueviolet at the top of the blueviolet and waits for his trading partner to do the same. If both parties accept, the trade is immediately executed. If either party declines, the blueviolet closes.

The ultimate goal is to provide a modified help.txt and v_help.txt to players which they can add to their game, and use this page as a living document to update it as the game is updated.
This are all sub-pages of my userpage. Please, if you're interested, help me to create a better help menu for the game. I can't do it alone.
