Hi, my name is Garielle. I'm a Total Altaholic.
Hello, Garielle.

City of Heroes Background

I first joined the City of Heroes community in August of 2004. In those days, I spent most of my game time running around as an Empathic Defender trying to keep teams alive. So yes, I remember when half-debt started at level 5 (instead of 10), full debt started at 10 (instead of 20) and the debt cap, as well as the amount of debt earned, was much higher. In those days, staying alive was much more important, and to run around in most of the missions without an Empath was a fool's errand. Now, they're just something that's sorta nice to have along, but the necessity for them, in most cases, has dropped dramatically.

Not too long after coming to the City, I hooked up with the gang at Woot Radio, as "DJ Zod". At that point, their name was well-known with in the community and we took part in several official events. We even interviewed CuppaJo (the Community Relations Lead at the time), Positron, and a few other staff members live on air. My most memorable moment on-air was actually on my birthday. I was on-air, doing my show, and happened to mention that it was my birthday, and got an in-game tell from Positron wishing me a happy birthday. This was before we had interviewed him, and I almost fell out of my chair when I realized he was actually listening to my broadcast.

Around the time Auto-Assault hit, the station began to diversify a bit. After a while, I ended up going my own way, still using the DJ Zod moniker, but in other venues. Still, the time I spent on Woot Radio, hanging out in Atlas Park, Mercy Island, or Pocket D with the station's fans, will always hold a special place in my heart.

City of Heroes Codex Models

I am currently working on porting the entity models from the City of Heroes Codex created by Scuzzbopper over to the wiki and bringing it up to date.

It's been at least ten years since your first edit at Paragon Wiki, and, like fine vintage items, any more anniversaries are just numbers. This'll do.
