Overview

Heroes and villains can earn titles in the game. These titles appear above the character's name. A character can have up to two titles above their name in addition to the word 'The'. These are separate from Badge Titles which appear below the character's name.

The first title is earned at level 15. The second title is earned at level 25. The first set of titles is generic; the second depends on your origin. Once an account has earned its 24th month Veteran Reward, a second column of titles appear along side the generic level 15 titles.

At levels 15, 25, 35, and 45, you gain the option to change your titles once. These title changes do not stack, so if you don't change your title between levels 15 and 24, you do not gain two title changes at level 25. Upon reaching level 50, you gain the ability to change your title without limit.

Your title change 'token' can be claimed at any time after reaching the appropriate level by visiting one of the Trainers and selecting Choose your new title. You will be presented with a window that allows you to select the title or combination of titles you wish to use. The left most column will give you the choice of adding the word The to the front of your title. The second column will either contain the generic titles and will either contain 1 column of level 15 titles or split between generic and 24 month vet reward titles. The final column will contain the level 25 origin titles. At the top of each column is the word None which will allow you to clear a title or not select one for that column.

At the bottom of the window is an example of what your title will look like. If the title is satisfactory to you, you can then press the green Set Title button. If you change your mind, you can choose the red Choose Later button to cancel the procedure.

Going Rogue Titles

Praetorian characters are currently unable to select a title until they leave Praetoria and align themselves as either a Hero or Villain, when they can then select from the normal titles appropriate to their Alignment. Although the option to select a title appears at trainers from level 15 onwards, players selecting that option will be presented with an empty window instead of the usual selection of titles.

Yellow Titles

"Yellow Titles" are not selectable titles at all. They appear in yellow text (hence 'yellow title') above the character's selected title, or above the character's name if no title is selected. These are rewards from GMs, developers, and OCR for special events, actions in or out of game, and sometimes randomly.

There are two kinds of yellow titles, temporary and permanent.

  • Temporary yellow titles typically last two to three real time days. These are often given out during player events or holiday parties with developers.
  • Permanent yellow titles are special rewards given typically for out of game reasons, though occasionally for in-game. For example, winning the Halloween costume contest, where players dress up like their characters. This yellow title lasts until the player deletes the character, even through lapses in account activity.
