Impossible badges

Does anyone know why this lists a bunch of badges Praetorians can't get, like the Dark Astoria badge? I see it says "those that are earnable by any Praetorian character, regardless of their choice to become a Hero or a Villain", but that seems an odd decision - why not just list the badges earnable by actual Praetorians? If memory serves, the logic behind this was to show only the badges that would be neutral to all Praetorians, assuming they chose to continue leveling up and leave Praetoria without going through the Rift Enclosure, thus remaining a "True Praetorian." If they chose to leave via the Rift Enclosure, they would then follow the badge lists for Heroes and Villains, as appropriate. However, I never took a Praetorian character that route to test it. Is it not possible for Praetorians who never left via the Rift Enclosure to earn the Dark Astoria day job badge? Blondeshell Sig.png talk / contribs 22:00, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
No, because they can't get there - goldsiders who stay goldsiders can't leave Praetoria / Pocket D / the Wards by any means at all. I really can't explain the list on this article other than that it's Praetorian badges plus the union of Hero/Villain badges, and that doesn't seem useful to me. Agreed. I'll chalk up that error to just assuming how the game behaved without actually testing it. /*cracks knuckles*/ Time for some edits!
But! What about content in Pocket D? Are Praetorians allowed to join the seasonal missions offered there? Blondeshell Sig.png talk / contribs 22:16, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
That I don't know, but I think the answer will be yes. Thunderforce (talk) 23:31, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
Here's a first take on the list, omitting any that obviously Praetorians can get:
  • Architect: no, no AE building.
  • Chronologist, Cimeroran, Cold Hand of Death, Midnighter, Predator, Vanguard Recruit: no, cannot go to relevant zone.
  • Clubber: yes (but not in Studio 55, oddly).
  • Duelist: no (the Arena Terminals in Pocket D don't count).
  • Fashion Designer: no, the tailor in Imperial City doesn't count.
  • Monitor Duty: yes (can't join an SG, but can press self against the portal in Pocket D).
  • Professor: yes, the CDEC does count.
The other thing I don't know is which version of multinamed badges goldsiders get - or if they have some names of their own. I've parked a couple of Praetorians in the Trading House and I'll know that in a couple of days. Thunderforce (talk) 23:31, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
I'll need to check some of the "obvious" ones - eg, I'm told you don't get "Commuter" goldside, even though it has stations. Thunderforce (talk) 23:46, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
Resistance get blueside day job names, Loyalists get redside. Thunderforce (talk) 12:53, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

I see this barking mad scheme of listing "Praetorian badges, plus post-rift badges you can get whether you picked Hero or Villain" is more widespread (eg Praetorian PVP Badges). Now we have a dedicated HC Wiki I may be done here once I have finished fixing up this page, but I thought I'd bring it to your attention. Thunderforce (talk) 12:53, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
