Just for the record, Blondeshell uploaded the red icon. I missed that one. --Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 17:27, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Trusting/Arriviste and Meticulous

As I understand it, Arriviste and Trusting are defined separately. The accolade is awarded for having either of the two along with the other four badges; collecting both is not required for the accolade.

Theoretically, if a character switches between Hero/Vigilante and Villain/Rogue during the event, they might be able to collect a total of 7 badges from running the Whispered Rumor mission. That will need to be confirmed or refuted. --Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 17:09, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Since the reward box text indicates "This badge will replace XXXXX...", I suspect that it's an either/or process, but I'll be testing this starting today (I'll get the appropriate badge on a Vigilante or Rogue and then it'll take a day or so for me to move that toon to the opposite faction so I can access the reward table). I'll update this page with my findings. ~EricNelson 00:50, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Update #1 -- I took a Rogue into Grandville and ran the Halloween Tip mission, choosing the Arriviste badge reward. I then took the same toon into Peregrine Island and ran another one. The reward table at the end was unchanged (i.e., since the reward had been chosen previously, the only option appearing in that reward "slot" was to receive a random large inspiration), which suggests to me that it's alignment-dependent (unless it turns out to be a one-time thing regardless of alignment changes after the fact). Once the Rogue is a full Hero tomorrow, I will test again and we'll see... ~EricNelson 23:39, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
My tank was just ready to switch sides so I followed through on this. Arriviste replaced Trusting, so you can have only one or the other. -- StarGeekTalk page 21:21, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Cool. Thanks for verifying that. --Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 22:25, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Yup, Kheldarn and I also were able to do this and that's correct, it's an either/or proposition. At least currently.  :) ~EricNelson 21:24, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
I do find it odd that they made 2 different badges in this case rather than 1 badge with hero/villain names like most of the rest of the badges. -- StarGeekTalk page 22:27, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Same here -- why not just keep it in line with currently-existing badges as far as faction goes? Either this decision was an error, or some factor we don't know about affected their decision to do it that way... ~EricNelson 19:14, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
It might even be an experiment in working around the limitations with naming badges in the current system. See the new Praetorian-specific badges for example. Rather than adding the mechanics necessary to add a third name to existing badges for Praetorians, they decided they'd be better off to create another set of unique badges. Now, if a Praetorian earns Laughs it Off and becomes a villain, does he retain that badge, or does he lose it in exchange for Ironman? If he does not lose it in exchange for Ironman, how does he then earn the High Pain Threshold accolade? One of two things need to happen here: either one badge is lost for another, or an "OR" needs to be added to the requirements for High Pain Threshold. We're seeing both possibilities being played out here, and I'm betting it's just the tip of the iceberg. --Eabrace Healthbar notify phone.png 21:23, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Preservation

Just preserving the cute wording of the official announcement. ~ AGGE talk/cons 12:08, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Monster Invasion

During Halloween, the undead pierce the veil between death and life. These monsters don't care who you are. All they want is to eat your brains. Braaaains!

Zombie Apocalypse

You can't run. You can't hide. Zombies rise from beyond the grave to haunt the living! No city or dimension is safe from their shambling, lurching invasion. Clear them before they overwhelm the streets.

Deadly Apocalypse

Haunting Banners appear throughout the world surrounding sinister mystic circles of power. These banners summon fiendish foes too powerful for any one person. Team up with other Heroes or Villains to fight these supernatural menaces together.

Trick or Treat

What would Halloween be without tricks or treats? You can go "knocking" door to door all week. These aren't like any tricks or treats you may be used to, though.
