:o.o yeah, they're magic, not the magic/tech mixture that some have, only pure magic ppl drop it.. and no, we have no idea whats wrong with the devs.--Sleepy Kitty 02:49, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

::Well (spoiler alert), while they are ratchet and gear automatons with electrical attacks, they are controlled psychically by the Clockwork King, right? And in CoV, they are also controlled magically by Bat'Zul the Imprisoned in Cap au Diable... and in another dimension, they have enven evolved to be latently psychic all by themselves! Sounds pretty Arcane to me. Compare with Slag Golems - made of rock, metal, tyres, car parts etc, but animated by red coral and guided by the Leviathan and that goddess I can't remember her name... :::Ah, but you forget that the clockworks THEMSELVES are a tech faction. So a Clockwork will never drop a Clockwork Winder. -- Leandro 23:28, 24 July 2007 (EDT)

::::Hang on, aren't they in the dual class? I.e. drop both Arcane and Tech? doesn't that mean they can drop this? --Kalon 02:43, 30 July 2007 (EDT)

::::: o_o nopes, unfortunately, dual class means a merger of the two, and they only have half the tech, half the mystic... and for what ever reason, the devs didn't include this in that selection. Its like the Hami i-salvage, DE can't drop it >< --Sleepy Kitty 01:56, 1 August 2007 (EDT)
