This command is used to get your character's location on the current map in x,y,z form. The map's coordinates start in the negative numbers and go through to positive numbers with the location 0,0,0 somewhere in the middle of the map. This command is often useful to find the locations of exploration badges which are often listed using coordinates retrieved from /getpos
